Sometimes it can happen that wacs freeze when starting a SendAll/Chg or GetAll operation. Often, the following procedure will solve the problem:
- Stop wacs with the Task Manager
- Open the Windows explorer and browse to your AlphaPro install directory
- Locate the file called Wcomm.msg.
- Right-click on the file and select Open with -> Notepad, or the text editor of your choice.
- The file typically looks like this:
- Note that the lines in the file ends with _REINDEXED: or _UPDATED :. These are the lines that can tell us where the problem is.
- The first line that ends with _UPDATED : is the file that cause the problem, in this example it's the Gmember file.
- You can now close the Wcomm.msg file and browse to the Autoload directory and select the language that your database is using.
- Copy the corresponding .cdx file (in the example it's the Gmember.cdx file) and paste it into your Database\Network directory.
- Answer yes to overwrite the current file with the new file from the Autoload database.
- Go back to AlphaPro and start wacs again by clicking on the communication button.
- Start the SendAll/Chg or GetAll procedure again.
- If wacs freeze again, repeat this procedure until all corrupt .cdx files is fixed.
