A lot of additional equipment need power to be able to operate as intended. The source of such power varies depending on the type of exchange.

AlphaCom E7

If the additional equipment is located in close proximity to an AlphaCom E7 Exchange, the exchange can provide 24VDC from a dedicated ooutput. If other kind of power is required, or if the additional equipment is mounted away from the exchange, a suiteable local power supply is needed.

AlphaCom E20

The AlphaCom E20 Exchange has an ouput which allows for connection of +5VDC, +15VDC and +24VDC. All protected by their own dedicated fuse. Additional equipment that requires an external power source may use these outputs. A Power Distribution Board, PDB can also be connected in order to provide more connectors for different additional equipment. Note: if using a PDB, the +32VDC is not available as it is not fed from the E20

AlphaCom E26

When using additional equipment with an AlphaCom E26 Exchange, the Power Distribution Board, PDB, is recommended. The PDB board can provide +5VDC, +15VDC, +24VDC and +32VDC from a number of outputs with several different connection types.
