BZ 38: Wrong database path

There was a bug in the procedure that creates the new database directory. Corrected.

BZ 52: AlphaPro virtual serial port and BSOD

If COM port 9 on the PC is in use, a BSOD situation can sometimes happen. Implemented a Settings option in the View menu, where COM port 1-9 can be selected from a drop-down box. The new setting will take effect during startup of AlphaPro, so I also implemented an optional Automatic restart of AlphaPro when closing the Settings window.

BZ 48: Edit event type

When editing an existing event by changing the Event Type, and the new event type doesn't use the When Related to, Node and ID information, these fields must be set to default (All, blank and 0). If not the new event do not work. Corrected.

BZ 49: Change event -> clr sub evnt

When adding member in some group, the program sometimes crashed and it was impossible to finish programming of groups. Corrected some key handling of Group and Group Membership tables. It seems to work better now.

BZ 82: Activating "AlphaNet adm. here" misses some autoload

When activating the "AlphaNet adm. here" flag on a node the autoload for system timers is set to 0. (Doing a "send all" after this operation gives a strange AlphaCom...). Corrected.

BZ 90: Change name of the field "Flag" to "Duplex Switching"

In NetRouting->Advanced Settings, the text "Flags" is changed to "Duplex Switching".

BZ 84: Ringing Group in AlphaNet

Implemented in Exchange&System -> Calls and Options -> Flags -> Ringing Group in Global Mode. Default value is 1 (checked)

Functional changes

Warnings in Wacs: Removed all warnings in wacs regarding fields that is not found in the AMC Nvram. This is to avoid confusion when using a new AlphaPro to configure an older AMC.

AlphaNet - Adm. here: It's now possible to set the 'Adm. here' flag from Exchange&System->System. This option is only available for the AlphaCom and AlphaCom E node types.
NOTE: Autoload data will be generated upon exit from the window. GetAll should be used to get updated data from the current AMC.

Reports: The text from the Comment field in the Users&Stations window is included in the Users report.

View menu: On the menu bar in the main window there is a new View menu. This menu contains choices to show/hide each of the Move, Paste and Swap buttons in the Users&Stations window. By default all buttons are visible.

Spanish: Spanish is added as a new autoload language option.

Registered Issues:

3293: GetAll + Event programming:

Do a GetAll, then go to Users&Stations -> Events and create a new (01-audio) event. AlphaPro freezes (happened both with 10.27 and Beta 10.28) or gives an error message (happened with 10.27 on a different AMC-IP). Corrected.

3309: Easier Number Search:

In Directory&Features and Users&Stations windows, a new search field is implemented. It is implemented as an incremental search where the highlight bar goes to the first directory number that start with the currently entered digit(s) as you type. When the highlight bar is placed on the first directory number that start with the currently entered digit(s), you can just press Enter to go to the next directory number that start with the same digit(s), or you can continue to enter digits to narrow the search.

2792: Paging config changes:

Pocket Pagers -> General Settings have two new parameters: Priority Pager Call Repetitions and Priority Pager Number of Bleeps. Also Feature 25 (Pocket paging, high priority) is added to the Default COS.

3108: Short number GUI changes:

Users&Stations -> Phone: Added the possibility to select Short number mode. The options are:

  • PNCI -> Gives the possibility to select Telephone Group.
  • SIP -> Gives the possibility to select SIP trunk to call with the Short number.
  • Selective dialing -> Select timeout (in seconds).

3325: Cluster, distribution of dirnos:

When adding or changing Cluster Global(or Identical) directory numbers, the changes would not be updated in all cluster member nodes. Corrected.

3211: Event owner vs. Event type:

Event type 1 (audio), 2 (Door open) and 3 (door lock) can not have Stations with UDP as owner, only single stations. This is not reflected in AlphaPro, and occasionally someone try to use UDP for these events because AlphaPro allows it. This is now changed so that the Audio, Door Open and Door Lock events disappear from the event type list box when owner is set to UDP (in the same way as event type 27 and 29 does).

3337: Copy - Swap in AlphaNet:

DAK keys and Group Membership was not swapped, Also the time to do a swap is improved, and better error handling is implemented to avoid incomplete swaps.
The comment text field in the Users&Stations is also included in the swap.

3343: Alternative routing:

In AMC-IP V10.30: the AlphaCom exchange can't switch automatic between the primary route and the Alternative route. Corrected.

3258: Descriptive Text feature 63:

Description text for feature 63 should still be "not recommended...". Directory number 627 and 628 is set to feature 73 in Autoload.

3224: Groups - Edit Gong:

The location of the Gong button is not logical. Now you have to "open" a group for editing before the Gong button becomes available. And it seems like you can edit the Gong behavior for each individual group. Corrected by adding Gong to the drop down menu on the Groups button in the main window.

Unregistered Issues:

SIP Nodes: The default RTP Packet size is set to 20ms.

New data fields is described here.

AlphaPro 10.28 (2008-01-09)

Run InstallAlphaPro.exe from the installation set.
It is recommended that this version is not installed on top of previous installations of AlphaPro 10.2x. It is not necessary to uninstall
older version before installing this version.
It is necessary to have administrator rights to install AlphaPro.

Functional changes

Analyze Cluster functions

There is a new Cluster menu in the Main window.

AlphaNet Cluster Commands -> Analyze Directory Numbers

This function will analyze and report mismatches for:

  • Problems with directory numbers in analysis master exchange
  • Problems with feature numbers in analysis master exchange
  • Problems with directory numbers in cluster member exchanges
  • Problems with feature numbers in cluster member exchanges

The analysis master exchange is the currently selected node. The file is automatically saved with file name _ANLZ<node no>.TXT

Single Exchange Commands -> Analyze User\Station Relation

This will analyze and report:

  • Mismatch between User number and Station number
  • Mismatch between Station number and User number

The analysis is done on the currently selected exchange. The file is automatically saved with file name _ANLZ<node no>.TXT

Copy->Paste\Move\Swap operation

Copy->Paste\Move\Swap
The Copy button will mark the currently highlighted user\station. You will see that the highlight bar will become yellow with blue text (and blue with yellow text when not highlighted) to mark the "source" for the Paste\Move\Swap operation. Also the text on the Copy button will change to Clear to indicate that you can "un-select" the current source. When moving the highlight bar to another user\station the Paste\Move\Swap buttons will be enabled.

Swap within a node
An alternative (and quicker) method is to use MouseLeft -> Ctrl-MouseLeft to highlight two Users\Stations. The Swap button will be enabled and you can swap the two users. This method is only possible to use when swapping users within a node. To swap users between nodes you must use the Copy button as described above.

Also, see New fields for more details on new data fields.

Errors corrected

3253: Two Line Names, 2nd line invisible in Users&Stations:

In the Users&Stations window, the second line name don't show when using the Two line names functionality as described in Two Line Names.
Corrected.

3255: Create "Phone number":

After creating a dummy station in Users & Stations an error occurred and it was not possible to enter Users & Stations again. To reproduce the fault:

  1. Create a new database
  2. Fill in a directory number for user 553
  3. Fill in a display text for user 553
  4. Press OK
  5. Edit the display text for user 553

Now AlphaPro crashes when entering Users & Stations.
Corrected.

3257: Set phys.no = 0:

It is not possible to set phys no = 0. The phy no returns to original value. Space seems OK.
In 10.05 phy no = 0 could be used.
Corrected.

3248: Support for M100 node:

Support for M100 node type is implemented. It is configured the the same way as the RMD node type.

3259: Copy/Swap does not swap:

Copy/swap does not swap DAK's and group membership.
Corrected.

3256: Delete exchange->crash:

Procedure to reproduce:

  1. Create a network and one exchange
  2. Delete the exchange
  3. AlphaPro crashes
  4. AlphaPro cannot be started, it crashes upon start up

(To be able to use AlphaPro again, you need to delete the network from the Database folder using Windows Explorer)
Corrected.

3262: Station Type - group flags:

To make it more readable I suggest to group the different flags in Users & Stations -> Station Type (in the same way as in System -> Calls an Options):

Station Type

  • Duplex Station
  • No Display (Better to change the text to: "Station without Display")

Private/Open

  • Programmable Private/Open
  • Always Private (new flag, see issue 2661)

Direct Access Key - DAK

  • Hotline Call (DAK7 - DAK8)
  • Digit key as DAK
  • Idle DAK during conv. cancel ongoing call
  • Idle DAK during conv. use inquiry
  • Dual Programming DAK keys

Display

  • Show Mail in Idle

DAK Display

  • Station use DAK Display
  • DAK Display shows directory numbers

Corrected.

3260: Free seating - exchange comm:

I have set up free seating and it works with a swap time on a single node of between 3-5 seconds.

Using AMC 10.22 (801) and AlphaPro 10.27.
WACS halted with the error message ACK not handled in this state. This happened a couple of times during process, this may have occurred when it was attempted to access function from another pair of stations to be swapped whist the first pair had not finished the send change.

Corrected.

3003: Support DNS Host Names:

We should support entering DNS host names for e.g. SIP proxies, and not only IP addresses.
Corrected. See new fields for details.

3273: DualDisplay DAK keys:

When setting the station type to DualDisplay the navigation keys are automatically filled in by AlphaPro. However, after SendAll they don't work. You need to do a change in the DAK table for the station, and a new SendAll. Then the keys become operational.
Corrected.

3263: Broadcast event message to remote node:

AlphaPro 10.27 do not fill in the new "Broadcast event message to remote node". Neither SendChg nor SendAll works.
Corrected.

2661: Station flag "Force Private":

Include a checkbox per station in Users & Stations -> Station Type: Always Private
Corrected.

3267: Disable Serial Port:

Serial ports: If the enable flag is set for Inter Module, the MultiModule over IP will not work, even if the "Port Type" is set to N/A.

I suggest that when a serial port type = N/A, the port is automatically disabled.
Corrected.

3097: %n.EXP adds space:

EDO "SWITCH %2.EXP,%1.EXP\r"

%2 in users UDP for station 104 = 556
%1 in users UDP for station 100 = 200

instead of getting this on my hex/ascii RS232 monitor

SWITCH 556,200<CR>

i get this

SWITCH 556 ,200 <CR> 2 extra spaces (Hex 20) are being output after the 2 variables %1 and %2
Corrected.

3254: Serial port not IP for "old" AC:

When creating a new database for an AlphaCom (not an AlphaCom E) the database still is set for connecting through TCP/IP.
Corrected.

3165: Volume and IP Station:

When the "IP Station" flag is set the choices in the dropdown list for Volume settings should reflect the real options: -12, -8, -4, 0, 4, 8, 12, 16
Corrected.

3265: DB conversion: Simplex Conference:

When conversion a 9.23 database to 10.27, the Default Speaker in Simplex Conference becomes faulty.
Corrected.

3078: Exchange name:

If a node is automatically created in the database after a GetAll operation, the node name is read from the AMC, and not given the name NODE <node no>.
Corrected.

3292: Show 'Pre-release' on startup:

When starting AlphaPro it sometimes shows "Prerelease" in red for a short time.
Corrected.

3295: Private ring mail priority:

In a new database the "Private ring mail priority" = 0, should be 150.
Corrected.

3289: System wide setting user swap mode:

There is now no longer a system wide setting for the user swap mode, it appears only when you swap a single user, if you set it to change from the default "swap phys number" to the setting used in New York "copy users names ,dir numbers" it keeps this setting as long as AlphaPro is running if you stop AlphaPro and start it again it reverts to the default "swap phys number".

This is not how AlphaPro 9 worked once set it remained system wide until changed, stopping AlphaPro and starting it again had no effect.
Corrected.

3299: Cluster programming:

Error report from UK:
I have been getting some anomies using AlphaPro 10.27 at Chase. At the weekend after they had made normal program changes to users the “789” feature appeared to have been removed from the AMC cards but it remained in AlphaPro. I did a get all from node 10 and it was not there it had been deleted. I only did a get all from 10 but I am sure it was deleted from all cluster nodes. I changed 789 in the file to 7899 saved then changed back again to 789 after a save I then sent the change and the 789 features appeared again. This is not the only issue.

I have again tried this 789 and it now appears that after fixing it via the above process any following on send changes delete the “789” feature again. Interestingly the cluster nodes 1,2,5,6 & 10 have the feature removed but 4 & 25 do not. This now becomes a more serious problem, as it appears any changes cause this to disappear from some of the nodes.

In the attached data base Chase 11 you will find a directory number 8571 on node 1 after a send change to all I noticed it was not working from node 10 a cluster node looking at the detail it appears the AlphaPro had not amended cluster detail for node 10 but it had done all the others cluster nodes. If I set the actual user 8571 337/9 to local then back again to cluster global it now appears in all cluster nodes. It seems that the AlphaPro is selectively not updating all the remote entries. The trouble now is because the global numbers application doers work with this file I cannot scan the whole database to see if this is only a few entries or many. Is it possible for the AlphaPro software engineer to look at this file and find out why it does not work with Global numbers, I know other AlphaPro 10.27 files do work. The error I get is shown below.

This is corrected by ensuring that all database tables are correctly re-indexed before a Send/Get operation.

2684: VP Exclusion:

a)Users & Stations | VPExcl: The entries should be shown in the list with DirNo, name and Phys no (not only PhysNo).
b)I suggest to rename the button from "VPExcl" to "Group Exclusion" (or "Group Excl.")
Also, it is now possible to define up to 8 Stations.
Corrected.

3294: Two users on same phys.no:

Two users on same phys number is not possible unless you disable "def user" before changing the physical number. If you just enter a physno (say 4) it will revert back to the original. However, the station on physno 4 will get the "Default User" flag disabled.
Corrected.

3287: Edit event owner:

When you change an event’s owner, AlphaPro looses all the details about the event.
Corrected.

3291: Delete exchange -> crash:

Create a network with one exchange. Delete the exchange. AlphaPro crashes, and continue to crash every time you start AlphaPro (until you delete the network in the Database directory).
Corrected.

3313: Create new node -> crash:

AlphaPro crashed when adding AlphaCom E node 2, after first deleting SIP trunk node 2. Crash seems to occur when adding RCI. Restarting AP will show node 2, but it will probably not be complete. Attempt to delete AlphaCom E node 2 will result in disk error and crash. Start of AlphaPro will not work until DB is deleted (to no reload on start-up)
Corrected.

Known bugs\workarounds

AlphaPro 10.27 (2007-08-22)

Run InstallAlphaPro.exe from the installation set.
Previous installations of AlphaPro 10.25/10.26 should be uninstalled before installing this version.
All databases/networks will remain in the installation directory, so they can easily be used again with this version.
It is necessary to have administrator rights to install AlphaPro.

Functional changes

2659: Copy/Paste function in COS:

Make a copy/paste function in the COS window to make it easier to create new COS setup. A new button 'Copy from...' let the user select a COS to copy into the current COS. Only the COS with Valid features is enabled to copy from.

COSCopy.jpg

Errors corrected

2840: Board Use table:

The Board use table contains records for 24 boards, but after a GetAll there are records for 26 boards.
Corrected.

3139: GetAll - SIP nodes not included:

Corrected in 10.24, but network must be "refreshed" by choosing it once more to view the SIP node as correct node type instead of node type "unknown". The node list is now refreshed when the transfer window in wacs is closed.

3197: AlphaNet and old database:

When a 10.0.0 database including AlphaNet is copied to v10.24 and then SendAll, AlphaNet stops working. The "Audio on IP" flag in NetRouting has become off, but if that is the only problem is not verified. (A workaround could be to delete the NetRouting, and create it over again, then AlphaNet became OK).
Corrected.

3241: Edit event actions:

The first time you click in the Action field, the text is highlighted from the start of text till where you clicked. This is not convenient, as the text is deleted if you start to type.
Corrected.

2863: Cluster Automatic:

Option "cluster automatic". This feature is only set by the system, it is confusing to have a possibility to choose this option manually since it is easy to mix this option with " cluster global".
Corrected.

3246: AlphaPro stops responding:

Define a new network with two E-nodes. Press Net Routing - Insert - Select and AlphaPro stops responding. This is ok on Upgraded databases or databases copied into AlphaPro.
Corrected.

Known bugs/workarounds:

Issue 3255: Creating "Phone number"

Error description:
After creating a dummy station in "Users & Stations" an error occurred and I can’t get into "Users & Stations" since:
1. Create a new database
2. Fill in a directory number for user 553
3. Fill in a display text for user 553
4. Press OK
5. Edit the display text for user 553

Now AlphaPro crashes when selecting Users & Stations.

Workaround:
A workaround can be to edit the Directory number and Display Text from the "Directory & Features" window. Add Feature/Id 9/553->600 to add "phone numbers" and display text. After inserting or changing these numbers from "Directory & Features" you should use SendAll since the change flags have not been set on the corresponding user records.

Issue 3273: DualDisplay DAK keys

Error description:
When setting the station type to DualDisplay the navigation keys are automatically filled in by AlphaPro. However, after SendAll they don't work. You need to do a change in the DAK table for the station, and a new SendAll. Then the keys become operational.

Workaround:
The problem is that when defining a station as DualDisplay station, AlphaPro will not automatically generate records for DAK 11 - DAK 20, so the workaround is to make AlphaPro generate those records. This is done by entering and saving a dummy DAK string in one of the DAK keys 11-20; AlphaPro will generate all records for that DAK page if only one of the DAK keys is entered. The dummy string can be deleted again before performing a SendAll/Chg, the point is to generate records for all DAK keys on DAK page 2.

AlphaPro 10.26 (2007-08-15)

Run InstallAlphaPro.exe from the installation set.
Previous installations of AlphaPro 10.25 (which is a 10.26 pre-release) should be uninstalled before installing this version.
All databases/networks will remain in the installation directory, so they can easily be used again with this version.

Functional changes

Automatic reconnect:

By right-clicking on the communication button in AlphaPro, there will be a menu with two options: Logout and Automatic reconnect. The Logout option will be disabled if not logged in yet. The Automatic reconnect function has an on/off state that is visualized with a check-mark to the left of the menu option. When turned on and the TCP connection to the AMC is broken, AlphaPro will try to reconnect and log in to the node again. The automatic reconnect option should be used together with the Free Seating feature.

AlphaPro 10.24 (2007-04-12)

Run InstallAlphaPro.exe from the installation set.
The installation can be used as an upgrade of v10.0.1 of AlphaPro (installed on top of old version).

Functional changes

IP Station: In the ‘Users&Stations’ window there is now a ‘IP station’ checkbox. When checked, fields for MAC address, Codec and RTP Packet size is displayed.

Ringmaster Node: A new Ringmaster node type is available when defining a new node. Like the SIP node type, it has to be assigned to an existing AlphaCom E node. In the AlphaNet routing window there is available a RMD Link type to be used for setting routing to the Ringmaster node.

New Features:

  • Feature 106, Private break-in:

Feature 106 is not available in the ‘Directory & Features’ window. It is only available as a feature in the ‘Class of Service’ window. By default it is included as a valid feature in COS 16, SuperUser.

  • Feature 107, DTMF during connection:

Feature 107 is available from the ‘Directory & Features’ and ‘Class of Service’ windows.

  • Copy, Paste, Move, Swap:

Implemented the Copy, Paste, Move, Swap functions in the ‘User & Stations’ window.

Errors corrected

2840: Board Use table:
The Board use table contains records for 24 boards, but after a GetAll there are records for 26 boards.
Corrected.

3017: Name list:
After AMC autoload dirno's 9542 - 9545 are in the name list (614). After SendAll of a new database in AlphaPro 10.0.0 number 7980 are also in the name list.
Corrected.

3155: SIP trunk in converted database:
After converting a AP9.x database to AP 10.x format, the 'SIP Link' data link type (NetRouting) was missing.
Corrected.

3047: Delete Network/Exchange:
If you in Networks -> Browse Networks select a network, then select a node in the network and Delete, you get an error message and AlphaPro crashes. The whole network is deleted, not only the node!
Corrected.

3071: Related to UDP /AlphaNet:
Now the Node is stored, but not the UDP number in the 'Related to' field. The value becomes '0' after saving.
Corrected.

2974: AlphaNet Cluster node:
When you create a new exchange one of the options for exchange type is 'AlphaNet Cluster'. This option is never used, so it is removed. Also the option 'Unknown' is removed.

3079: Definition of a SIP node in AlphaPro:
When defining a new network in AlphaPro, automatically a new (first) exchange must be defined. 'SIP node' should not be a possible selection at this point, as there is no AlphaCom node number to relate it to.
Corrected. See also Issue 2974.

3162: Not storing IP address:
When you create a new exchange and uncheck the 'AlphaNet:Adm here' flag, the IP address entered in ethernet 1 is not stored. When you go to 'Exchange & System' the IP address is '0.0.0.0'.
Corrected.

3153: SIP Registrar on Eth1:
The IP address of a SIP registrar can not be defined, AlphaPro use the defined Eth0 IP address. Corrected by giving the user a choice to select Eth0 or Eth1 IP address when defining a SIP registrar.

3139: GetAll - SIP nodes not included:
Create a database with one AlphaCom exchange, one SIP registrar and one SIP Trunk node. SendAll. Create a new database with one AlphaCom node only. After a GetAll, the SIP nodes are missing.
Corrected.

3168: Event, 'When related to':
The following events do not use "Related To". To prevent confusion the "When Related To" should be disabled when these event types are selected:
Audio - 01 Automatic lock - 03 Station in use - 04 Microphone open - 05 Faulty station line - 13 Priority mail present - 06 Priority mail in idle - 12 EDI Text - 28 System Status - 27 AlphaNet Link - 29 Corrected.

3133: Wrong database path:
After installation and startup the databases in AlphaPro 10.03 is available. New databases added in 10.04 is available in 10.03. I have installed AP 10.2.2 pre-release, and I have also AlphaPro 10.04 installed in a different folder. When I change the database path in 10.0.4 the same change applies also in 10.2.2! And vice versa. Seems like the two installations are using a common setting in some way.
Corrected.

3166: Event owner becomes EDI:
When an event is modified sometimes the owner of the first event in the list box is changed to EDI. (This has happened several times during training, but is hard to reproduce the error...).
Corrected.

3181: AlphaPro crashes on 'Assign DAK's':
AlphaPro crashes when the "Assign DAK's" button in Local Groups is used on two (or three?) different groups after one another.
Corrected.

3146: Insert new number:
In AlphaPro 10.04 if you enter a number and make it 83/xx save it and appears correctly in the table, if you then select "insert" and try to add another number 83/xx it saves it and the right side screen looks ok but it has actually saved the number as a feature 200 (end of table feature).
Corrected.

3137: Delete blocks of dirno:
From the Dir No / Features table I select feature 9/4 then go to feature 9/552 using the shift key select all these numbers, then delete. This works fine on the first couple of nodes then this error appears, it maybe the third node or the fifth node.
Corrected.

3177: When related to > 4 digits:
Only the 4 first digits in the "Related to" field was read by wacs. SendAll/SendChg seems to be OK. There might be and error in AMC on this Issue.
Corrected.

3138: Warning when Send or GetAll:
There was given a warning when doing Send or GetAll to AMC 10.0x.
Corrected.

3185: GetAll - IP addresses:
GetAll would not read IP addresses from all nodes in an AlphaNet.
Corrected.

Known bugs/workarounds

2985: Corrupted DMP file
If you press "Cancel" while WACS is "Reading NVRAM dictionary, please wait..." the .dmp file is corrupted in some way, and you cannot communicate with the exchange any longer. The .dmp file has be deleted. When using AlphaPro via serial port this reading process takes quite some time, and this can easily happen.

3003: DNS Host names
AlphaPro do not support entering DNS host names for e.g. SIP proxies, only IP addresses.

AlphaPro 10.0.5 (2007-02-09)

Run InstallAlphaPro.exe from the installation set.
The installation can be used as an upgrade of v10.0.1 of AlphaPro (installed on top of old version).

Functional changes

Set RCO Type: In the RCO window: Added the possibility to set RCO Type to “Device” or “Station”. The “Station” RCO Type has the station's physical number as the “sub-type”.

Event Handler Window: The operation of the Event Handler window has changed. Similar to the Directory number and Users windows, it is now possible to edit an event without opening a separate update window. All browsing and updating of the Event Handler is done from the same window. Also, it is possible to sort the Events list by clicking on the column header that you want to sort on. A ‘[+]’ or ‘[-]’ sign on the column header indicates ascending or descending sort order.

Errors corrected

2562: HTML Help:
Context sensitive HTML Help is now included in the installation set.

3065: WACS can't connect TCP/IP:
Sometimes after opening and closing the Exchange&System window, wacs is not able to connect to the node again. It seems like AlphaPro tries to connect to IP address '0.0.0.0'.
Corrected.

3063: Exchange select:
After exiting the Exchange & Systems window, very often the list of exchanges is reduced to a single exchange or no exchanges at all, also often you are not able to connect to the selected exchange. This is probably related to Issue 3065.

3066: GetAll don't get IP address:
GetAll don't get the IP address of Eth0 and Eth1 from the exchange.
Corrected.

3084: SIP node data link:
When creating a SIP node, the AMC node and SIP node do not communicate. There was bug in Autoload related to SIP configuration (SIP link in Net Routing).

3080: SIP - Audio on IP:
When creating a NetRouting from AlphaCom to SIP node, the flag "Audio on IP" is be enabled by default.

3081: SIP node - default codec:
When creating a new SIP node the codec should is set to g711u as default, not "Best available".
Corrected.

3109: SIP Nodes, Eth/serial, SendAll/GetAll:
In a database there is an AlphaCom E node 1 (Eth0 169.254.1.5, and Eth1 = 10.5.101.42), SIP registrar node 6 and SIP trunk node 240, IP address 10.5.101.44. If you uncheck the flag which selects Ethernet or Serial port com towards the exchange, Both SIP nodes becomes Trunk types with IP address 169.254.1.5. When changing the flag you get an error message saying: "This record was changed by another station". Seems like GetAll and/or SendAll messes up the nodes in the same manner. I'm not able to rectify the problem from AlphaPro, have to delete the SIP nodes and create them again.
Corrected.

3042: WACS always up:
WACS can now stay open while other windows are open. There are however a couple of limitations: - As long as the 'Transfer Status' dialog in WACS is open, other windows can't be opened. - As long as and 'Update' window in AlphaPro is open, all buttons in WACS is disabled. They will be enabled again when the 'Update' window is closed.

3035: Text in UDP window:
In the UDP window there are now numbers in front of the check boxes to identify each UDP.

2934: Programming SIP Node:
When changing settings for a SIP node (registrar or trunk), it does not turn red to indicate changes. This is to prevent that the SIP node is red "forever".

3100: Create SIP Registrar:
When a SIP Registrar was created and afterwards selected "Exchange|System" it was set as SIP Trunk node.
Corrected.

3043: Insert new number:
When inserting a new directory number in "Dirno & Feature", you were not able to select any other field, or cancel or close. You had to enter a directory number to continue.
Corrected.

2812: GetAll -> Alt Route = IP:
After a GetAll Alternative Route is set to "Data on IP" when not in use, should be N/A.
Corrected.

2848: Pager, Receiver number:
There is no check in AlphaPro on the length of the receiver number in the Pager menu. The string has a limited length in AMC. If too long there is a warning in WACS transfer window ("could not update all fields"), and the field is empty after a GetAll. In AMC the field is limited to 10 bytes, so the field length in AlphaPro is also restricted to 10 characters.

3064: RCO > 138 don't work:
For RCO > 138 the RCO Type field was not set from AlphaPro.
Corrected.

3125: Navigation keys to Default:
On a station type DualDisplay: If any of the fields 'Call Setup Priority', 'Volume' or 'Class of Service' is changed, the Navigation Keys in the DAK window is set back to default numbers (60, 9543, 9544, 9542). The DAK programming must remain. The navigation keys should be programmed to default only when the station type is set to DualDisplay.
Corrected.

3126: Include Group members:
Remove a station from a group, SendChg and then include the station in the group again. AlphaPro will crash when saving the last change.
Corrected.

3127: Subnet mask not stored:
Since Subnet mask is not used from AlphaPro, the entries for editing is removed.

3131: Subnet mask missing:
See Issue 3127.

2966: Event Type 29:
When you modify the event 29 (Change button) the Owner and When Related To (WRT) still becomes available. After "Change" the WRT becomes available also for other events types (event 01-Audio, 03-Door Automatic lock, 04-Station in Use, 05-Mic Open, 06-PriMail present, 12-PriMail in Idle, event 13, 27 and 29.
Corrected.

3135: Event Actions disappears:
Event programming seems unstable. Changing UDP in one event actually change UDP on a different event. Changing other events makes them disappear but when using the same database in 10.0.0 they are visible.
Corrected.

3073: Event window:
a) Sometimes after saving the programming of an event, all events disappear in the list box. Have to exit the event window to refresh. Corrected.
b) When you edit an event and save, the item you have edited should be highlighted in the listbox. It is confusing that the focus is on another event than the one you have just edited.
Corrected.

3106: SIP Trunk, Calls in Private mode:
It must be possible to set calls from SIP Trunk to always be in private mode, regardless of the private/open switch of the station. (PNCI was set in AlphaPro to Call Setup Priority = Low).
New flag (Private Ringing from SIP) is added to Exchange&System|System|Calls and options.

2849: SX conf - Talk Priority:
Programmed SX conference 10 with "Minimum Talk Priority" = Alarm (and def. membr = dirno 105, and def. spkr. enabled). SendChg. Warning in transfer window in WACS, "could not update all fields". After GetAll "Minimum Talk Priority" = Low.
Corrected.

3128: GetAll - IP addresses:
Did a GetAll from the Trondheim node - all nodes (Oslo, Horten, UK etc, and SIP nodes) got the same IP address as the Trondheim node.
Corrected.

3134: DAK: * and # not possible:
It is not possible to program * and # on DAK, for use towards SIP / phone. It should be possible to program in AlphaPro like: "I0 P 98236419#".
Corrected.

3140: "Free events" not updated:
Corrected.

Unregistered bugfixes:

  • Fixed a small bug in Users & Stations window. When pasting a MAC address containing small letters into the MAC address field, an error message would appear.

Corrected.

  • Bug in Directory & Features window: When using arrow keys to step up/down in list, it would mark records as the cursor moved up/down.

Corrected.

  • Fixed a bug in the Global Groups window. If there was only one member group in a global group and it was deleted, a SendChange would not detect the change so the AMC would not be updated.

Known bugs/workarounds

2985: Corrupted DMP file
If you press "Cancel" while WACS is "Reading NVRAM dictionary, please wait..." the .dmp file is corrupted in some way, and you cannot communicate with the exchange any longer. The dmp file has be deleted. When using AlphaPro via serial port this reading process takes quite some time, and this can easily happen.

3003: DNS Host names
AlphaPro do not support entering DNS host names for e.g. SIP proxies, only IP addresses.

3018: Lock up when WACS is closed
Log on to a node and enter user + pw. If you now stop WACS while the connection is being established, AlphaPro often freezes and must be restarted

AlphaPro 10.0.3 (2006-11-13)

Run InstallAlphaPro.exe from the installation set.
The installation can be used as an upgrade of v10.0.1 of AlphaPro (installed on top of old version).

Functional changes

Configuration of SIP nodes:
The configuration of SIP nodes has been improved and simplified. When creating a new node and setting the node type to ‘SIP node’, some new fields is displayed to let the user decide if the SIP node is a Registrar Server or a Trunk Line (SIP gateway) and which AlphaCom node the SIP node is related to. It is also possible to set default values for Preferred Codec and RTP Packet size. These default values will be used when adding a Net Route to the SIP node. If the SIP node is set to be a Trunk Line, the IP address to the SIP gateway must be entered.

Report Groups and Global Groups:
Groups, Group Members and Global Groups are added to the reports window.

New Event 30 (Station DAK key as RCI) in Autoload:
Event 30 (Station DAK as RCI) is added to the autoload database.

Open AlphaWeb for the selected node:
There is a new button in the main window that opens the default web browser with the AlphaWeb page for the current node. The button is only enabled if AlphaPro is set to connect with TCP/IP.

Display IP address when logged in to a node:
After logging in to a node, the IP address is displayed in the status string in the upper right corner of the main window.

New flag in Users&Stations:
The ‘No Display’ flag is implemented in the Users&Stations window. It is placed on the Station Type tab.

Errors corrected

2972: Cluster Global, number check:
a) When modifying a number the ‘AlphaNet Visibility’ field is disabled until the directory number is saved. This is to prevent that the number check goes against the old number.
b) When modifying an existing ‘Cluster Global’ number, a new number was created in the all other cluster nodes while the old number remained.
Corrected.
c) Changing the visibility in Directory & Numbers window didn’t always take effect; it went back to the original setting when pressing the OK button.
Corrected.

3013: Cluster Global not exported:
Corrected in Issue 2972.

2971: Cluster Identical:
When setting the AlphaNet Visibility to ‘Cluster Identical’, the number was added to the other cluster nodes without checking if the number already exists. The result was that two identical numbers or feature/id combination could exist in the cluster nodes.
Corrected.

3004: Support 20ms RTP packets:
Support for setting the RTP packet size is implemented in the Net Routing window. The setting is available for the destination node in an Alpha Net route.

3006: Dynamic/Static on each end:
a) When creating a dynamic route, it was not possible to save the changes without entering a physical number for the destination.
Corrected.
b) When setting the ‘Use Dynamic License’ flag on the destination, it was not possible to save and exit.
Corrected.

3040: SIP Node: Change of IP address:
It was not possible to change the IP address of a SIP node without changing/saving the ACDP link in NetRouting and then change it back to the original setting.
Corrected.

3036: SIP Node and Net Audio:
Corrected in Issue 3006.

3047: Delete Network/Exchange:
Fault in Networks|Browse Networks. It was not possible to delete a node from this window. Implemented separate Inser/Change/Delete buttons for Networks and Nodes.

3046: Direct Paging and Personal Answer Code:
It was not possible to delete Direct Pocket Paging number/text and Personal Answer Code number/text from Users&Stations – Pager.
Corrected.

3037: Add Event from Users & Stations:
When adding a new event from Users & Stations, the currently highlighted user is set as Event owner.

3029: Event 28 EDI Text:
‘When change to’ and ‘When related to’ fields is disabled when inserting a new event with owner ‘EDI Text config’.

3049: Changing "Collect N more digits":
A bug caused that directory numbers would be deleted if changing the ‘Collect N more digits’ field.
Corrected.

3044: Edit "Collect N more digits":
When editing the ‘Collect N more digits’ filed, the ‘OK’ and ‘Save’ buttons was not enabled until another field in the window was changed.
Corrected.

3062: Net Audio/Net Routing: Select destination:
It is now possible to double-click to select the destination node when inserting a new Audio route/Net route.

3071: Related to UDP/AlphaNet:
The Node field in the Events window was disabled when setting the ‘Related to’ field to ‘Stations w/UDP’, making it impossible to use UDP over AlphaNet.
Corrected.

2562: HTML Help:
Context sensitive HTML Help is partially implemented. Most windows will open the HTML help file when pressing the F1 key. This will continue to be improved.

Other:
Detect masking directory numbers:
Fixed a bug in ‘Users & Stations’ window regarding detection of masking directory numbers.

Reselection after update or sorting:
Fixed reselection of the correct Directory number after update or sorting.

Known bugs/workarounds

2985: Corrupted DMP file:
If you press "Cancel" while WACS is "Reading NVRAM dictionary, please wait..." the .dmp file is corrupted in some way, and you cannot communicate with the exchange any longer. The dmp file has be deleted. When using AlphaPro via serial port this reading process takes quite some time, and this can easily happen.

3003: DNS Host names:
AlphaPro do not support entering DNS host names for e.g. SIP proxies, only IP addresses.

3018: Lock up when WACS is closed:
Log on to a node and enter user + pw. If you now stop WACS while the connection is being established, AlphaPro often freezes and must be restarted.

3033: SendChg and COS:
This week we have been installing a couple of AlphaCom-E exchanges (an E20 in London and an E7 in Kent) using AlphaNet over customers own WAN. All seemed OK until changes were made and sent to the London node which the following notes detail.

Ed programmed the data base for extinction, when I arrived on site in London today I did a get all from London and Kent, all looked ok I made programming changes to groups, global groups, remote numbers ,daks and directory numbers. After this I did a send change to London and Kent. The result was any station not configured as a superuser could not call across the AlphaNet link if in London and stations in Kent could not do anything. A send all cured the problem.

3045: USB Dongle Driver:
There seems to be some problems with the USB dongle driver if the PC has no parallel port. Downloading and installing the latest (v7.3.0) driver seems to cure the problem. Download from: http://www.safenet-inc.com/support/tech/sentinel.asp

3063: Exchange select:
AlphaNet with several exchanges defined:
a) After exiting the Exchange & Systems window, very often the list of exchanges is reduced to a single exchange or no exchanges at all. You have to select the network from the network dropdown list to "refresh" the list of exchanges.
b) After exiting the Exchange & Systems window, very often you are not able to communicate with the selected exchange (you get an error message saying the the IP address doesn't exist or something like that). You then have to select the network from the network dropdown list to "refresh" the list of exchanges. Now WACS can connect.
It is assumed that a) and b) are related.

3066: GetAll don’t get IP address:
GetAll don't get IP address of Eth0 and 1 from the exchange. This could be a problem if both Ethernet ports are used, one for management and one for AlphaNet. Connect to the management port and do GetAll to a new database. The IP address of the AlphaNet port is now wrong or missing. If you now change or add AlphaNet NetRouting the routing will become wrong.

AlphaPro 10.0.1 (2006-08-03)

Internal test release.
Run InstallAlphaPro.exe from the installation set.
The installation can be used as an upgrade of v10.0.0 of AlphaPro (installed on top of old version).

Functional changes

2920: Sorting of dirnos: Sorting order of dirnos is changed, so that it is easier to detect masking effects and to get an overview of number series.

2711: Copy and add node DB: Removed the 'Set Path' and 'Use existing database' from the 'Create Network' window. Instead there is a 'Set Database Path' choice on the Networks menu. This function let the user select the database directory, and not an exchange database.

2973: AlphaNet visibility only when Clusters are used: AlphaNet visibility is only relevant if a node is member of a cluster, so the AlphaNet Visibility is disabled if the current node is not a member of a cluster.

Errors corrected

2979: Enter Group Hunt dirno:
Added radio buttons in the Groups window to let the user select between Group Call or Group Hunt. Entering a dirno and displaytext when Group hunt is selected will add/update the Group Hunt feature to the directory number table.

2997: Substation and Hot-Line call:
When a station is set to sub-station, it is now reflected in the DAK window that AK 1 is 'Id' and DAK 2 is 'Id+M'. Also if the station flag 'Hotline call' is set, it is reflected in the DAK window that DAK 7 is 'Off-hook' and DAK 8 is 'On-hook'.

2972: Cluster Global, Number check:
a.) If the AlphaNet visibility was set to 'Cluster Global', you didn't get a warning if the number already existed in the other cluster nodes. Corrected.
b.) Corrected.

2907: Event - Related to UDP 8:
Bug in storing of data in database. Related-to UDP #N is supposed to be stored in the NVRAM field as (1<<(N-1)). What was stored was N, so UDP #1 would work.
Corrected.

2773: Hebrew language:
Hebrew text appeared to be in the proper way on the list boxes on the left side of the AlphaPro windows, but reversed on the fields on the right side of the windows.
Corrected.

3026: SIP Node can't be configured:
SIP nodes could not be configured since AlphaNet was disabled on Eth0.
Corrected.

3006: Dynamic/static on each end: Some display fault when configuring static audio line on one end and dynamic on the other.
Corrected.

3029: Event 28 EDI Text:
When inserting a new event with owner "EDI text config", all event types except 28 are accessible in the event type listbox. It should be opposite.
In addition "When change to" and "When related to" should be grayed out on this event owner. When changing the event, it appears correct as event type 28.
Corrected.

3013: Cluster Global not exported:
Corrected as a result of correction in Issue 2972.

3008: Com port settings when Eth:
The baudrate and comport settings is now disabled when Eth is selected for communication.

2864: Change button in Exchange window:
Removed the 'Change' button as the 'System' button has the same function.

2971: Cluster Identical:
When a feature was set to Cluster Identical AlphaPro would search for the current Directory number in the other cluster nodes, instead of the current Feature/Id.
Corrected.

2813: NetAudio channel number:
You can change the channel number if the audio link is static. If the audio link is dynamic you are prompted to enter the source physical number after having changed the channel number and you are not allowed to exit the "change" window. You can enter illegal source physical numbers by pressing OK twice after having entered an illegal value.
Corrected.

2978: Refresh cluster node setting:
After having programmed nodes as part of a cluster, the "Exchange&System" window would have to be closed for the cluster settings to take effect.
Corrected.

2969: Event type 15, WRT All:
When Creating a new event with type event type 15 - Event Trigger, and leave the "When Related" to "All", one should get similar warning as in AlphaPro 9: "Event triggers should normally have a related-to directory number. Do you really want to leave it open?".
Corrected.

2774: Show Receiver number in pagerlistbox:
To get an easy overview the listbox in the pager menu should show the receiver number when entered, as the AlphaPro 9 does today.
Corrected.

2966: Event type 29:
Owner fixed to station 1 (not programmable). When Related to is disabled (not programmable). Event Type text is set to 'AlphaNet Link'. This is only applied to Autoloaded networks.

Other:
Users and Stations window, Class of Service Drop list: A bug caused the Class of Service Drop list to display COS 1-15 for all defined nodes in the network, instead of filtering out only COS for the current node.
Corrected.

Known bugs/workarounds

2562: HTML help:
Context sensitive HTML help is not implemented in AlphaPro.

3004: Support 20 ms RTP packets:
It should be possible to select packet sizes for RTP packets. Nortel SIP gateway seems to require 20ms packet sizes, currently only possible to configure via tst-console.

3003: DNS Host names:
AlphaPro do not support entering DNS host names for e.g. SIP proxies, only IP addresses.

3018: Lock up when WACS is closed:
Log on to a node and enter user + pw. If you now stop WACS while the connection is being established, AlphaPro often freezes and must be restarted

Known bugs/workarounds

2562: HTML help:
Context sensitive HTML help is not implemented in AlphaPro.

2711: Copy and add node dB:
Set Path should set the path to a database directory, not to an exchange database. Now the “path directory” actually becomes the name of the Network.

2979: Enter group hunt dirno:
In the Group window there should be an option to enter dirno + name for group hunt. When Group Hunt is selected, only number and name should be available. (In AlphaPro 9 you could select "group call" or "group hunt" using radio buttons).

2997: Substation hot-line call:
When a station is set to sub-station in station type, it must be reflected in the DAK window that dak1 is ID and dak2 is ID+M. The same applies to the station flag Hotline call. It must be reflected that dak7 is off-hook action and dak8 is on-hook action. (Like in AP9).

3004: Support 20 ms RTP packets:
It should be possible to select packet sizes for RTP packets. Nortel SIP gateway seems to require 20ms packet sizes, currently only possible to configure via tst-console.

3006: Dynamic/Static audio line on each end:
It is not possible to configure static audio line on one end and dynamic at the other. When you set up one end of NetAudio it automatically sets up the other end.
It should be possible to have a "transit exchange" in the middle with dynamic audio links, and remote satellites with static licenses.

3003: DNS Host names:
AlphaPro do not support entering DNS host names for e.g. SIP proxies, only IP addresses.
