Group Hunt and Call Restrictions

Call Restrictions: Call restrictions for intercom (ASLT/ATLB) stations are handled from AlphaPro (Directory & Features: ”When COS OK, no calls from group”).

SIP Phones registered to the AlphaCom can not use the restriction mechanisms in AlphaCom, and call restrictions must be set in the SIP Gateway.

In this example SIP phones should have restriced access to call out on the trunk lines according to the following table (X = allow access).

In IP to Hunt Group Routing Table create routing rules:

Dest. Phone Prefix: the access code dialled from a SIP phone (or intercom) Source Phone Prefix: the directory number of the calling SIP phone (or intercom)

Routing rules: Any outgoing call whose destination number matches the prefix defined in the ‘Destination Phone Prefix’ field and its source number matches the prefix defined in the adjacent ‘Source Phone Prefix‘ field and its source IP address matches the address defined in the ‘Source IP Address’ field, is assigned to the hunt group entered in the field to the right of these fields.

IP to hunt group routing can be performed according to any combination of source / destination phone prefixes and source IP address, or using each independently.

Dialing Plan Notation in MP114/118

The call restriction is set in the IP -> Hunt Group Routing table.

The MP-114/118 uses the following dialing plan notation:

When entering a number in the destination and source ‘Prefix’ columns, you can create an entry that represents multiple numbers using the following notation: [n-m] represents a range of numbers [n,m] represents multiple numbers. Note that this notation only supports single digit numbers. x represents any single digit

1. (that terminates the number) represents the end of a number

A single asterisk (*) represents any number For example: [5551200-5551300]# represents all numbers from 5551200 to 5551300 [2,3,4]xxx# represents four-digit numbers that start with 2, 3 or 4 54324 represents any number that starts with 54324 54324xx# represents a 7 digit number that starts with 54324 123[100-200]# represents all numbers from 123100 to 123200.

The VoIP gateway matches the rules starting at the top of the table. For this reason, enter more specific rules above more generic rules. For example, if you enter 551 in entry 1 and 55 in entry 2, the VoIP gateway applies rule 1 to numbers that starts with 551 and applies rule 2 to numbers that start with 550, 552, 553, 554, 555, 556, 557, 558 and 559. However if you enter 55 in entry 1 and 551 in entry 2, the VoIP gateway applies rule 1 to all numbers that start with 55 including numbers that start with 551.

Explanation to the IP to Hunt Group Routing Table:

Line 1: All callers have access to 004 and will be assigned to hunt group 4 (FXO line 7 and 8) Line 2: Any call from users 1113 – 1118 will be assigned to hunt group 0, which is not defined, so the call is rejected. (The users will still have access to 004, because there is a match in line 1) Line 3: Any call from 2184 and 2185 is assigned to hunt group 0 (rejected) Line 4: Any call from 3181 is assigned to hunt group 0 (rejected) Line 5: Any call from 8022 is assigned to hunt group 0 (rejected) Line 6: Any call from 8061 is assigned to hunt group 0 (rejected) Line 7: Any call from 8191 is assigned to hunt group 0 (rejected) Line 8: Any call from 8272 is assigned to hunt group 0 (rejected) Line 9: Call from 2183 to 001 is assigned to hunt group 0 (rejected) Line 10: Call from 8151 to 001 or 002 is assigned to hunt group 0 (rejected) Line 11: Call from 8162 to 001 or 002 is assigned to hunt group 0 (rejected) Line 12: Call from 8231 to 001 or 002 is assigned to hunt group 0 (rejected) Line 13: Call from 9160 to 001 or 002 is assigned to hunt group 0 (rejected) Line 14-16: Free Line 17: Any call to 001 which didn’t match any of the above conditions, will be assigned to hunt group 1 Line 18: Any call to 002 which didn’t match any of the above conditions, will be assigned to hunt group 2 Line 19: Any call to 003 which didn’t match any of the above conditions, will be assigned to hunt group 3
