Functional changes / Enhancement

New 4 digit software version system

Now possible to do bugfix on release version.

Voice activity detection

The IP station now supports VAD. See VAD for more information.

Https

The IP station webserver now supports https.

802.1X

The IP station now supports 802.1X. See 802.1X for more information.

VLAN

The IP station now supports VLAN. See 802.1Q for more information.

Known issues:

  • During upgrading the IP-station switch will not be VLAN aware. It is recommended to turn off VLAN or to be sure that all packets which should reach the IP-station port is untagged before reaching the IP-station switch before upgrading.
  • DHCP address is recieved before the switch is VLAN aware (during startup).

Firewall

The IP station now uses a firewall to block ports. All ports are blocked except for the ports listed in the webserver and icmp. It is possible to block a port by unchecking it in the webserver, however all traffic going out from the IP-station and traffic related to that is always open. The firewall can be found in the IP-station webserver under Advanced --> Firewall.

CRM-V functionality

The IP station now supports CRM-V functionality.

DAK-Module support

The IP station now supports up to 2 DAK-modules, giving a maximum of 100 DAK-keys. The IP-station has to be rebooted after the DAK module is connected.

A100G80200.0107 (2009-05-05)

This software supports all current IP station types:

  • 8022 IP substations.
  • 8023 IP master console stations.
  • 8024 IP master desktop stations.
Release: Official, available on request
DIP protocol version 00.04.

System upgrade file:
Image: A100G80200.0107.bin
Checksum: 84DD9432

Errors Corrected

(BZ = Bugzilla reference number)

BZ 187: LCD cursor blinking fault

When IP master station is set as DualDisplay and using feature 9537, the LCD cursor was displayed incorrectly. Fixed.

Station stability issue

The station could crash and reboot in some situations. It should now be much more stable.

IP stability issue

The station could lose its IP connection completely, typically when installed in a subnet with many IP stations or other IP devices. Fixed.

Full-upgrade issue

If both ethernet ports had link, it was only possible to download new software from the LAN port. This solution is fixed in the station's bootloader, upgraded automatically when installing sw 01.07.

Spanning-Tree protocol

STP-packets are now forwarded correctly through the switch between PC and LAN ports.

BZ 163: Tone level volume adjustment

Tone volume is now adjusted properly according to volume setting.

Volume adjustment

Volume adjustment during conversation was forgotten afterwards. Fixed.

Functional changes / Enhancement

Factory default sequence at startup

Added sequence for factory default with DHCP:
Releasing input1 for 2 blinks: Factory default settings are loaded.
Releasing input1 for 4 blinks: Factory default settings are loaded, with IP settings to DHCP.

Factory default sequence at startup

Added confirmation-blink on station LED after executing the factory default sequence.

LCD local-menu password changed

The password "1234" was too easy to guess. New password is "1851". This applies to IP master stations only.

Noise Reduction feature

Added Noise Reduction feature, configured from Web server (available levels 0-7).

Keyboard Configuration feature

Added Keyboard Configuration feature, configured from Web server. 3x4 and 4x4 matrix keyboards supported.

Web server password

The factory default web server password is changed from "ADMIN/alphacom" to "admin/alphaadmin".

DiffServ support

Added DSCP Expedited Forwarding for outgoing RTP audio packets.

AlphaCom connection security timeout

If the AlphaCom connection goes down, then the IP station will reset after 5 minutes unless the connection has come up again.

AlphaCom messages security timeout

If a DIP "ping" or any other message has not been received in 4 minutes, the station will disconnect from AlphaCom and try to reconnect.

AlphaCom connect timeout

Timeout for the first "con" message from AlphaCom is 60 seconds. The station will then disconnect and reconnect again.

TCP reconnect delay

TCP reconnect delay increased. The delay now increments for each reconnect attempt, up to max about 80 seconds. This reduces ARP traffic from the IP station.

Combined software image for IP sub and IP master

The software now runs on both IP sub and IP master stations. Station type is automatically detected by "hw_type" variable from bootloader.

Volume level handset/headset

Louder volume when using handset/headset. This applies to IP master stations only.

Volume levels adjusted

More even volume level steps in loudspeaking mode. Note: When upgrading an installed station, the volume for the previously set level may change slightly.

Volume level steps 1-8

Volume steps on the LCD display are changed from "0-7" to "1-8". This applies only to IP stations with LCD, the actual volume level step numeration is unchanged.
