In audio only systems where there are few operators and many substations it is normally only necessary to define the operator stations as device. In systems which involve cameras of which the video needs to be recorded as part of the audio call, all substations must be defined and associated with a camera. In this case it may be advisable not to define the operator stations as well, as the call will be recorded twice, once for the operator, once for the substation. This will in effect half the number of simultaneous calls that can be recorded by the recorder. |
Fix
The recorder creates subdirectories related to date for storing recorded audio files. Although this is purely system related and has no influence on the operation, date/time stamp handling could appear illogical for people wanting to see where files are stored. This has now been made more deterministic.
Although it might now be easier to find files when searching for them outside the playback client, the files should not be moved or altered in any way. Note also that for privacy and security reasons these audio files cannot be played directly outside the playback client.

Added feature
It is now possible to set up recordings for automatic export to a .wav file. In the recorder client, select 'Setup/System Setup' and configure the fields in the section 'Automatic Wav Export' as required.
Fix
Right clicking on a listed recording could crash the Recorder client.

Feature change
Possibility to use a demo license with the Enterprise Management application.
In demo-mode, the enterprise management server will only run for 4 hours, and restart is not possible within 4 hours of the demo-mode expiry.
Version numbering
The version numbering is rebased to be in line with the version numbering as used by Zenitel's supplier. This to make identification of the version which has been installed on a system easier.

Feature change
In earlier versions, it was possible to define maximum 6. cameras. This limit has now been removed and replaced with a limit on the maximum number of simultaneous recordings. This is set to 64. Note that a call recording which involves for instance a TCIV and its camera counts as 2 simultaneous recordings, one for the audio call, and one for the video stream.

A communication problem between the Client and the Enterprise Server could cause 2 issues:
- Impossible for the client to retrieve licenses from the enterprise server
- In that case trying to check the available licenses would crash the client

Impossible to add new AlphaCom connection
When an old connection was deleted and a new added, the new one could sometimes not be saved, if this was using the last available connection license. This was related to a database cleanup issue.

Problems solved
Green led indication in the client that shows active recording goes off after some time
An on-going recording is indicated by a green indicator in front of the device being recorded. During 24/7 recording of conference channels it could, after some weeks, happen that the indicator would turn gray. This did not affect the recording itself.
The indicator is now updated every 5 minutes. In the worst case, the indicator may therefore turn gray for 5 minutes before being set to green again.
Failure to playback after pause
Sometimes, if the pause was used during playback, the audio would not be audible when playback was resumed. Also the audio activity indicator would be stuck in the level at the momwent of pause. This has now been solved.

Export of audio as wave file (wav-format)
Recordings can now be exported as wave file. When exported in wav-format, the 2 sides of the conversation will always be mixed.
Export to wave does not require an audio export license.

Most of the times, it is a recent recording which is of most interest for playback. Recordings are now listed, newest first.
