Messages in  {{AlphaWiki|ASVP - AlphaCom Stored Voice Playback Board}} and [[ASVP Module]] is referenced by a '''SVP reference'''. The SVP reference consists of two numbers: 
* SVP group
* SVP individ
In addition, some SVP groups require an additional parameter to be complete. The parameter is a string of numbers, and can signify a date, a time or a phone number.

The {{AlphaWiki|AMCD}} application uses [[Message Group]]+ Message Individ to reference messages. The  {{AlphaWiki|Message Description File}} maps the highlevel message reference to a SVP reference.

The SVP reference is the entry point into the [[ASVP DES-file]].

These SVP groups are currently used:
