The Vandal Resistant Substation - 1007056100 is an analog intercom station. It is connected to an ASLT line card in an AlphaCom XE7, AlphaCom XE20 or AlphaCom XE26 server using 2 pairs of wires.
Highlights
- Made for critical communication
- Vandal resistant
- Design in stainless steel to withstand corrosion
- Vandal resistant call button
- Superb audio quality (10 kHz)
- Advanced supervision functions
- External or extra call button option
Connections
The cabling from the AlphaCom server to the intercom station is star wiring. Two twisted pairs of wires are required. The maximum distance depends on the cable diameter:
- 0.5 mm wires: 1.4 km
- 0.6 mm wires: 2.0 km
- 0.9 mm wires: 4.0 km
- The station line is connected to the A, B, C and D connector
- The internal loudspeaker is connected to the LS connector
- An external loudspeaker can be connected to the EXT LS connector. Minimum impedance is 20 ohms.
- Call button is connected to KEY1 and ID (= DAK 1)
- A second call button can be connected to KEY2 and ID+M (= DAK 2)
- The volume of the internal loudspeaker is controlled by the LS VOL potmeter
- Private/Open:
- Soldering pad S1 open: Open mode (default)
- Soldering pad S1 closed: Privacy mode
For details on connection at the AlphaCom server side, see ASLT - AlphaCom Subscriber Line Board
Dimensions
Designed in stainless steel to withstand corrosion.
- From version 1007056100.0301, stainless steel: A316L. (Earlier versions: A304.)
