Manual search
Each station can have a pre-programmed Search List. For example the list can include:
- A station at an alternative location for the user (or that person’s secretary, for example).
- A group call number.
- A call to the user’s pocket pager.
- A call to a telephone number via the Public Network Interface (PNCI unit).
- A Call Request from the calling station.
If you make a call to a station that has a search list, and the person is not present, you can activate the first step on the search list by pressing digit 9.
If you want to activate the next step on the search list, you can press digit 9 once more, and so on.
If the station you call has no search list, or if you have come to the end of the list, pressing 9 will be disregarded.
Additional Information
- The search step alternatives and the sequence of the steps are programmable
- Each station has its own search list
- 3 search steps are available per station
- If you want to go to the next search step after a paging call or a group call, this must be done before the time-out for the answer.
- After autoload the search list is empty.
Automatic search
The system can be set up to activate the search list automatically in one or more of the following situations:
- There is an absence message at the station.
- The time-out has expired during private ringing.
- The time-out for answering a paging call has expired.
- Call to a busy station
- Call Request timeout
If your station is programmed with Call Request as the first step on the search list, the Call Request is registered on your station. When you are available or back at your place again, you can then answer the Call Requests.
