The physical layer of the ACDP protocol is RS485, RS422 or RS232. The devices are connected to the exchange’s serial ports. Default port setting is:
- 9600 bit/s (optional 1200, 2400 or 4800 bit/s)
- 8 data bits
- no parity
- one stop bit
In AlphaCom E the protocol can also be encapsulated in TCP/IP.
