Description

Power is needed for the internal 10 W amplifier to drive an 8 Ohm or 20 Ohm speaker. The station is connected to the exchange using a 3-pair cable.
The handset microphone is always connected, thereby permitting direct answer back when receiving a call. When using the handset during conversation, the external loudspeaker is turned off.
An optionally connected call warning device will also turn off when lifting the handset for conversation. The conversation will be cancelled by placing the handset back on hook, or by pressing the “Cancel” button.
The station is made for duplex conversations but can be put in simplex mode by pressing the M button in the station, or the talk button in the handset.
To provide maximum availability the station comes with advanced supervision functions. The station line test will detect if there are any faults in the network or station electronics. In addition the station supports tone test, testing the complete transmission path including microphone and speaker. The status of the stations is reported to AlphaWeb as well as to 3rd party management systems using SNMP , Syslog, OPC or the STENTOFON Software Development Kit (SDK).
