In ICX-AlphaCom there is no standard feature for muting the microphone during a call, while keeping the loudspeaker active.
This article describes how you can configure a DAK key to toggle "Mic mute" on and off. If the station DAK key has a LED (e.g. CRM-V station), the green LED will be lit when muted.
In AlphaPro, select Users & Stations and select the station to have the mute function from the list. Select the button Events and Insert an event with the following properties:
Action commands:
IF %busy(%1.phy) If %udd(%1.phy) LOG "Unmute microphone of %1.dir" $DIP L%1.dir "auo 1" IND %1.phy 2 2 1 OFF WUDD %1.phy 0 stop endif
LOG "Mute microphone of %1.dir" $DIP L%1.dir "auo 8" IND %1.phy 2 2 1 ON WUDD %1.phy 1 endif
To reset the toggle state and the LED when the call is ended, add this event:
Action commands:
IND %1.phy 2 2 1 OFF WUDD %1.phy 0
