Evolution History

The AlphaCom Intercom Exchange first came out in 1995. Since then it has evolved many times, perfecting the art of critical communication. Until 2006 the upgrades consisted of changing the software chips on the board, or even swapping the AMC board it self for improved memory and processor and so on. But in 2006 the first IP exchange was introduced. In appliance with Zenitels compability strategy all older AlphaComs can also be turned in to an IP version exchange simply by changing the processor board. In this article you will find detailed information about converting an older Alphacom into the IP era. In all cases all existing stations and other boards such as ASLT, ATLB, ATLB-12, AE1, AGA, ASVP, APC, can be kept.
