A Zenitel IP Station may have to be reset to its original factory default settings if, for instance, the password to the station web interface is forgotten. The defaults can either be set to Activated DHCP or Static IP.

Reset to Factory Default - IP address from DHCP

During the factory Default procedure the station will count numbers in its loudspeaker.

  1. Press and hold any button, then power up the station.
  2. At the count 1, release the button
  3. At the count 5 press and hold the button.
  4. At the count 0 release the button. If there is no 0 count, the procedure has failed and you have to start again

After the station has started up, press the call button, and the station will speak its IP address

Factory Default with IP address from DHCP server

Factory default values

  • Station IP address: Obtained from a DHCP server. If no DHCP server is available, it gets a random 169.254.x.x address.
  • Username: admin
  • Password: alphaadmin
  • Mode of operation: Edge
