Message mapping
Behavior
The system for customized ringing tone uses the internal "messaging" system, "Alarm message to group".
AlphaCom is capable of simultaneously do playback of 8 different wav files. If this limit is reached, the ringing tone sent to the station will be the standard AlphaCom ringing tone.
If other activities requires message playback and there are no available resources, the resources used for Ringing Tone will be snatched and stations will return to standard ringing tone pattern.
Ringing Groups
The ringing group configuration is not yet available from AlphaPro (11.6.3.9).
Nvram address:
&012493 .ex_profile.ringing_gr_wav[1] = 0 (0x00)
Each group used for "Ringing group" can be assosiated with a wav file in the same manner as for stations.
Due limitations of available parameter the ringing wav file relates to the group and not to the directory number used for the ringing group, thus two ringing group directory numbers related to the same group will use the same ringing wav file.
Starting a ringing group mail will follow the rule
- Check if "UK style" ringing configured. > start "UK style" ringing
- Check if wav file is associated with the ringing group, > Start wav file
- Check If group configured for using wav file associated to the station. -> Star Wav file
- No match above, use standard ringing tone
