The ENA amplifier can monitor impedance changes on each channel. This is used to detect fault such as load change, open/short and ground faults. A loud change must be minimum 15% before it is reported as an error. The Speaker Line Monitoring (SLM) can be individually turned on or off for each channel in Monitoring and Lines > Line Control > Channel 1/2 > Line Monitoring.

In order to make the Line Monitoring work, the speaker line needs to be calibrated. This can be done in two ways:

  • From the Amplifier GUI or
  • From the web interface of the amplifier

The option Suspend Monitoring will turn off monitoring when there is audio on the channel output.
