Description

Zenitel audio and video intercoms and desk stations can be connected with Luxriot Evo video managment system(VMS) via ONVIF, enabling features like audio and video streaming, playback, and event triggering.

Prerequisites

  • Luxriot VMS 1.29.0 or higher with valid licence.
  • VS-IS 6.4.3.0 or higher must be installed in the Zenitel Device

  • EX intercoms series TFIX
  • V2 Master Stations

Configuration in the Zenitel Devices

Additional ONVIF configuration is available from the Web Interface of the device:

  • To receive information about Call Button pressed, "Report DAK as Digital Input in ONVIF" option must be enabled in the Zenitel device prior to discovery.
  • To receive information about Station Call Events (In Conversation, Ringing, In call queue), the "Report station events as Digital Input in ONVIF" must be enabled in the Zenitel device prior to discovery.


Configuration and initial setup

Connecting Zenitel devices with Luxriot EVO VMS can be done via autodiscovery or by manually adding device.

Device discovery

Adding devices is done via Auto discovery which can be configured with parameters such as IP address range for discovery, scanning attached network cards for devices and credentials used for accessing the device.

After system finished the discovery operation, Zenitel ONVIF compatible devices are listed.
Note: Input of wrong credentials will block discovery procedure to show devices.
Before adding the devices to VMS it’s possible to change the recording setting in terms of defining whether the recording will be continuous or triggered by motion.

Note: Autodiscovery works only for devices on the same network as a server. To add devices on different subnets, manual add is recommended

Manually adding devices

To manually add the device, go to devices section and press on add device, enter device name and select ONVIF compatible under device type.

Under network tab, enter the IP address and credentials of the device. To test the connection, use the ping function.

Note: The default credentials for accessing the Zenitel devices are admin/alphaadmin.
Once the device is added via configuration, it’s possible to to add it to LuxRiot EVO Monitor.

Security groups

Security groups can be added to VMS, this means that it’s possible to set up a group and a user within that group that will use VMS. For example, setting up employee group and administrator group with difference being in what actions users within that group are authorized to do. Users within employee group are allowed to view live video but forbidden from watching video playbacks while administrator group user are allowed to do both. Permissions can be configured during the setup.

Events

It’s possible to configure actions related to events such as intercom activating. If the door intercom is activated by pressing the button, the video from intercom will pop up in LuxRiot VMS and notification will also be displayed. For proper configuration of event, few prerequisites must be completed.

Enabling Direct Access Keys (DAK)

  • In Zenitel Connect Pro, select the device you plan to use in LuxRiot VMS.
  • Select Intergation tab.
  • Enable Report DAK as Digital Input in ONVIF option
  • Enable Report Station call events as Digital Input in ONVIF option.
  • Enable control of relay IDLE state option

Adding digital inputs(DI) as events in Luxriot console

  • In Luxriot console, navigate to the channel of device you wish to use for events and notifications.
  • Press edit and navigate to the input tab.
  • Select inputs you wish to enable.
  • Navigate to Events and press ‘’new event’’
  • In event type select digital input.
  • Under source, select channel you configured from steps 1-3.
  • Under input select input number 4 which is the default input of a call button.

The configuration should look like this:

Note: Digital input for call button may vary depending on device, please refer to ONVIF settings.

Configuring events

  • In the ‘’rules’’ tab of events, press ’’open configurator’’.
  • From the list in the left window, select channel you configure in steps above as a source. And transfer it to middle window via arrows or double click.
  • Under the actions list on the right, select ‘’add action’’ and select ‘’ send event to client’’.
  • Customize your event placeholder according to your needs.
  • If you wish to open video connection to the intercom when the call button is pressed, also add ‘’pop up on the screen’’ option.

Testing

To test configured events, press the call button on the intercom configured in steps above, VMS should pop up the video from the intercom and send notification.
