Additional Ringers (Zenitel Connect Pro)
From Zenitel Wiki
The Additional Ringers feature allows you to assign extra devices that will ring in parallel with the originally called device.
Additional ringers are configured per account on the device’s Call Settings page.
There is no limit to how many additional ringers can be added.
Behavior and Important Notes
- Auto‑answer interaction
When additional ringers are configured, the originally called device is automatically set to Auto‑answer Off.
If the device is later configured to Auto‑answer On or User Selectable in a way that enables auto‑answer, the Additional Ringers feature will not function correctly, as the original device will answer the call immediately.
Compatibility with Breakthrough and High Priority
The feature works with Breakthrough (M during ringing) and High Priority calls.
In both cases, the originally called device still receives the call.
Interaction with Call Forwarding
If Unconditional Forwarding is enabled on the originally called device, additional ringers are ignored. If forwarding is set on any additional ringer, those forwarding rules are not applied; the additional ringer behaves as if no forwarding were configured. Forwarding on Busy on the original device does not trigger parallel ringing— the call is forwarded directly. Forwarding on Timeout stops all parallel ringing (including the original call leg) and initiates a new call toward the forwarded destination.
Do Not Disturb (DND)
DND on the originally called device prevents parallel ringing from being triggered. Additional ringers that are in DND will not participate in parallel ringing.
The Additional Ringers feature lets you add additional ringers that will ring in parallel with the originally called device.
Additional ringers are defined per account in the device configuration “Call Settings” page, multiple additional ringers can be added (no maximum limitation).
Additional notes:
Setting additional ringers will automatically set the original device to auto-answer off. If device is manually set to auto-answer on or “User selectable” in a way that the device auto answer, the additional ringers feature will not work as expected as the original call is answered.
Works with break trough (M during ringing) and high priority. In both cases the originally called device will receive the call.
If unconditional forwarding is configured on the originally called device, additional ringers are ignored.
If forwarding is set on any of the additional ringer stations, those forwarding rules are not enforced and the additional stations behaves as if no forwarding was set.
Forwarding on busy on original device does not trigger parallel ringing, but directly forwards the call.
Forwarding on timeout cancels all parallel ringing call legs as well as the original and sets up a new call towards the forwarded device.
Do not Disturb on originally called device does not trigger parallel ringing. And additional ringers in Do not Disturb mode will not be included.
