Problem

After having deleted or changed the directory number in the web interface of an IP-Station, the old directory number reappear in the station after reboot.

Observation

A station is registered to the AlphaCom server. In the web interface of the station you attempt to delete the directory number or change it to a different non-configured directory number. When you reboot the station it will revert to the previous number as soon as it makes contact with the AlphaCom. The same result regardless of changing directory number from the station webinterface or from the IMT tool.

Reason

AlphaCom is storing the MAC addresses of all registered stations. If during registration the stations directory number is not found, the MAC address is compared, and if a match is found the station is registered on the found mac address and the directory number is sendt back to the station, and the old number will reappear in the station web.

This is by design, and is implemented to allow changing directory number in AlphaPro without having to change the directory number in the web interface of the station.
