This document provides the release notes for VSF-Fortitude8 6.2 with incremental bug fix releases. The release notes for VSF-Fortitude8 6.2 describe new features, improvements and issues fixed after VSF-Fortitude8 6.1.

Name: VSF-Fortitude8
Description: VSF-Fortitude8 is a firmware for Turbine Video Plus Intercom including the following devices: TCIV-2+, TCIV-3+, TCIV-5+, TCIV-6+ and TKIV+

The firmware is delivered in two different files:

vsff8-6.2.3.x - Used for standard in-field upgrades
vsff8-prod-6.2.3.x - Used in production- and recovery upgrades.

Improvements

RED-46 IPv6 is supported in SIP mode

MTN-3350 ICX-AlphaCom server's IP is now shown in device info menu when device is not connected

If IP address of the ICX-AlphaCom server was configured, but not connected to ICX-AlphaCom server, IP address 0.0.0.0 would show in device info on the device itself. This is now fixed. The IP of the ICX-AlphaCom server is displayed on the device even if it has lost connection to the ICX-AlphaCom server.

Issues fixed

MTN-3260 Syslog settings sometimes required reboot to take effect.

Sometimes syslog settings required reboot to take effect. This is now fixed and reboot is no longer required.

MTN-3244 Station fails to register to CUCM when using default registration intervals.

Station could not register to Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM) when default registration intervals were used. This is now fixed.

MTN-3235 Live video preview on station web video page now works in HTTPS

When accessing video page over HTTPS in SIP mode users would get prompted to enter credentials. There was no way to enter correct credentials so users would have to cancel which would result in live preview not being shown.

MTN-3231 Address book is not downloaded with .csv extension.

When you would download address book it would download as .txt. Now this is fixed.

MTN-3057 Group Calling in Sipelia

Video will now stream when Group Call in Sipelia is established.

-Tone volume is automatically adjusted to suit the ambient noise levels and therefore make it suitable to use it in noisy environment. Further improvement is made for environments like a train where multiple stations are next to each other. This might have caused the intercom with faulty speaker picks up tone from another station doing the test at the same time and wrongly reports success. This is now solved by playing multiple frequency tones.
