Software Update (Zenitel Connect Pro)

This article describes how to upgrade the software of a Zenitel Connect Pro (ZCP) system. It is highly recommended to update the software to the latest available version, as this will ensure that the system has the latest features, bug fixes and security updates.
| Zenitel releases both device firmware and Zenitel Connect Pro software simultaneously, as device functionality in Connect Pro mode may depend on software compatibility. To ensure optimal performance and compatibility, it is strongly recommended to update device firmware to the version that matches the installed Zenitel Connect Pro software. |

Always perform a backup of the system before software upgrade. Make sure to download the backup file to your computer, and store it in a safe place. |
Updating the ICX-510 unit
- Download the latest software file (.swu) from Downloads named Zenitel_Connect_ICX_x.x.x.swu
- Open Windows File Explorer, and locate the file
- Log in to the Zenitel Connect Pro web interface, go to System > Software Update, and drag and drop the file into the area indicated
- A status bar will show the upgrade process

Once the software has been updated Zenitel Connect Pro will reboot after which the new software version is operational.
Updating a Virtual Machine
Upgrade from 1.7.x or 1.8.x to 1.9.x
- Download the latest software file (.swu) from Downloads named Zenitel_Connect_VM_1.9.x.swu
- Open Windows File Explorer, and locate the file
- Log in to the Zenitel Connect Pro web interface, go to System > Software Update, and drag and drop the file into the area indicated
- A status bar will show the upgrade process
Upgrading from 1.6.x or older to 1.9.x
Due to compatibility issues there is no upgrade package available for Zenitel Connect Pro 1.6.x or older. One has to start with a fresh install.
Procedure:
- Make a backup of the configuration
- Download and Install the new .OVA file
- Restore the backup
