This article describes how to upgrade from Pulse (VS-IS 4.x) to IC-EDGE.

== Prerequisite ==

* Pulse (VS-IS 4.x) can be upgraded to IC-EDGE, but the whole system needs to run with the same [[Downloads#Turbine_stations|Turbine software]] (VS-IS 5.0 or newer).
* In an IC-EDGE System, [[:Category:Stations#INCA_stations|INCA intercoms]] cannot be used as the Edge Controller.
* TCIV video intercoms should not be used as the Edge Controller for systems exceeding 4 devices.
* VS-IMT can be used for station discovery and upgrade but must not be used to configure IC-EDGE.

== Pulse to IC-EDGE Licenses ==
Pulse licenses will be honored in an IC-EGDE System. This means that when you upgrade firmware from VS-IS 4.x to 5.x your Pulse licenses will work for IC-EDGE. <br>

== Select IC-EDGE Controller ==
If the Pulse Server is an [[:Category:Stations#INCA_stations|Inca station]] you must select a different device (Turbine) as the IC-EDGE Controller. <br>
Maximum number of devices with TCIV as the IC-EDGE Controller is 4. <br>

== Upgrade the Stations ==
In an IC-EDGE system all station must be upgraded to IC-EDGE. You cannot mix IC-EDGE and Pulse devices. <br>
Make sure all Turbine station runs 5.0.3.0 or newer. <br>
Inca stations must run 02.10.3.0 or newer. <br>
