Flowire is based on the HomePlug AV power line communications specification, only using 24 - 48 V DC as the medium. It is a network bridge between Ethernet and a PLC link.
There are two variants:
- FCDC-1 (1008080110 ) - Forwards power to the spare pairs of the Ethernet port
- FCDC-2 (1008080210) - Does not forward power to the Ethernet port

The FCDC-1 is directly forwarding the power from the Power Supply Unit to the Ethernet port (802.3af Type 1 mode B only). This means it is using the spare pairs only for power, and there is no auto-sensing of polarity or load. It is not using PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology |
Factory defaults
- Static IP address : 169.254.1.10
- DHCP enabled. If the unit obtains a dynamic IP address, it comes in addition to the static address.
- NMK Password: HomePlugAV0123
MAC address range: 00:13:CB:0A:00:00 -> 00:13:CB:0A:80:00
Reset to Factory defaults
Flowire can be reset to Factory defaults by pressing the button for 15 seconds. The recessed button is located next to the Ethernet connector.
