The Noise Reduction feature is used for intercoms located in noisy environments. The noise reduction feature filters out the background noise and at the same time keeps the voice signal.

The feature can be activated from two different places:

  • Either from the Edge Controller select: Edge Controller > System Configuration > Call and Audio:

By default ANC is enabled.

  • Or by Logging in to the station directly, and go to Edge Configuration > Audio. Enable or disable the Active Noise Cancelation.
    • To change the Noise Reduction Level, Advanced configuration mode must be enabled. Possible levels are from 0-7, where 0 is disabled. Default value is 1.

Note icon For Turbine TCIV+ registered to Edge Controller running firmware ver. 5.x:
  • If ANC is disabled and then enabled again, the ANC value will change from 3 (default) to 1 in the TCIV+ station. For the ANC to work properly, a workaround is to either configure the TCIV+ to be the Edge controller, or log on directly to the TCIV+ and change the ANC value. Advanced configuration mode must be enabled to make these changes.
