A number of AlphaPro settings require that the system is reset or rebooted in order to make the change to take effect. Reset of the system can be done from either the Alphacom Communication window, WACS or AlphaWeb.

There are two types of reset:

  • Reset of the AMC application
  • Reset of Linux (e.g. reboot the exchange)



Situations that require AMC application reset:

  • Creation of a new IP station in AlphaPro


Situations that require Linux reset:


Situations that don't require reset or reboot, but where the change take effect after a short time:

  • Event Handler programming. (Reset is recommended, but not necessary, before testing the change)
