There was an issue with integer overflow that caused cascading failures on system with non video ONVIF devices after 6-7 days. Failures included loss of audio in VMS, distorted audio and device reboots. Issue was present on all previous versions of non video ONVIF devices.

When devices were using SIP over UDP it could get multiple reinvites quickly that keep restarting media which in turn could mess up multicast paging on devices. As re-invites should not support media reconfiguration for multicast relay this is now disabled and paging works ok.

This document provides the release notes for VSF-Fortitude6 9.0 with incremental bug fix releases. The release notes for VSF-Fortitude6 9.0 describe new features, improvements and issues fixed after VSF-Fortitude6 8.2.3.3.

Name: VSF-Fortitude6
Description: VSF-Fortitude6 is a firmware for Zenitel devices based on the IMX6 processor.

The firmware is delivered in two different files:

  • vsff6-9.0.3.x - Used for standard in-field upgrades
  • vsff6-prod-9.0.3.x - Used in production- and recovery upgrades.

Fixed Issues

MTN-4590 Multicast relay sometimes had issues working with multicast paging

When devices were using SIP over UDP it could get multiple reinvites quickly that keep restarting media which in turn could mess up multicast paging on devices. As re-invites should not support media reconfiguration for multicast relay this is now disabled and paging works ok.

Improvements

MTN-4397 Improved certificate handling, and split SIP and HTTPS certificates into separate pages

Split SIP and HTTPS certificates into separate pages, removed turbine_server_sha1.key private key and TLS Private Key option, added factory reset handling, added backup and recovery for SIP certificates, fixed certificate regeneration on some devices, removed private keys from the device web page.

MTN-3557 New configuration option for RTSP Audio Source

There’s a new option for configuring RTSP Audio Source, “Mixed signal”. This option mixes far and near end signal.

DS-1034 Added support for codec L16x48 to Multicast Paging config

Devices can now listen to raw PCM 48 kHz audio stream (L16x48) when configured in HD-Audio mode.

DS-970 Added multicast relay feature

Device can now relay incoming RTP to specified address and port.

DS-889 Operate output when the call button is pressed in idle

Added option to configure operation of relays and outputs when the call button is pressed.
