This article describes best practice to replace an AlphaCom XE1 with an ICX-510 running AlphaCom software.
Prerequisites
- Make sure you have licenses for the ICX-510.
AlphaCom XE1
- Check the AlphaCom XE1 software version. If the version is 11.x.x.x or older, the server should be upgraded to latest version, see upgrade procedure.
- Make screenshots of AlphaWeb System Configuration pages:
- Interfaces
- Filters
- Routing
Optional:
- Time and Date
- Logging
- Messaging
| If there are pre-recorded audio messages on the server, download and store these on your laptop. |
- Use latest AlphaPro version and perform a Get All to backup the configuration.
ICX-AlphaCom
- Upgrade the ICX-510 to the latest software version
- Log in to the ICX-510 web-interface and configure according to the screenshots made of the AlphaCom XE1
- Upload audio messages if any
- Upload license file
- Start AlphaPro and select the database you downloaded from the AlphaCom XE1. In Exchange & System > System, set "Node Type" = ICX.
- From AlphaPro restore the configuration by doing a Send All, the Reset
