This document provides the release notes for VSF-Fortitude8 9.0 with incremental bug fix releases. The release notes for VSF-Fortitude8 9.0 describe new features, improvements and issues fixed after VSF-Fortitude8 8.2.3.3.

Description: VSF-Fortitude8 is a firmware for Zenitel devices based on the IMX8 processor.

The firmware is delivered in two different files:

  • vsff8-9.0.3.x - Used for standard in-field upgrades
  • vsff8-prod-9.0.3.x - Used in production- and recovery upgrades.

Improvements

MTN-4397 Improved certificate handling, and split SIP and HTTPS certificates into separate pages

Split SIP and HTTPS certificates into separate pages, removed turbine_server_sha1.key private key and TLS Private Key option, added factory reset handling, added backup and recovery for SIP certificates, fixed certificate regeneration on some devices, removed private keys from the device web page.

MTN-3557 New configuration option for RTSP Audio Source

There’s a new option for configuring RTSP Audio Source, “Mixed signal”. This option mixes far and near end signal.

DS-1034 Added support for codec L16x48 to Multicast Paging config

Devices can now listen to raw PCM 48 kHz audio stream (L16x48) when configured in HD-Audio mode.

DS-970 Added multicast relay feature

Device can now relay incoming RTP to specified address and port.

DS-889 Operate output when the call button is pressed in idle

Added option to configure operation of relays and outputs when the call button is pressed.


Issues fixed

MTN-4563 Changing zoom setting caused video to stop working and device reboot

When user changed video zoom setting from default one and rebooted device would get into reboot loop with video not working. Factory reset would had resolved it. This is now fixed.

MTN-4438 The 0,5 video zoom level is now available again

The 0,5 video zoom level was missing in the device web in version 8.2. It is now available again.

MTN-4383 Added Missing SNMP traps on TCIV+

Fixed missing “Input Button Pressed/Released“ option in Advanced Network on TCIV+ devices.

MTN-4373 Fixed a typo in I/O settings

Changed label from “Ouput“ to “Output” in I/O settings page for I/O pins.

DS-1015 Permanent Audio Stream fixes and config refresh

Some parts of the audio stream config was not working correct and mic level was very low. Also linked to RTSP “Audio Source” config for impact which signal is sent to RTP stream. Consult wiki documentation for more details.


Known Issues

MTN-4121 Known issue: Asterisk discards alternative profiles

Default setting for ITSV-5 sends 3 types (BP & MP & HP). However, Asterisk discards all but the first profile it receives (HP in this case). Since only the "Baseline profile" is supported on the device the video doesn't load. A workaround to this issue is to select "Baseline profile" as the H.264 profile type on the ITSV-5.
