Hi Bennie!

Locating Directory Number Of Your Intercom Station In AlphaPro Database

To locate the directory number of your intercom station you will need to select the User/Station Icon in AlphaPro. Once you enter this section of AlphaPro you will have to locate your intercom stations current directory number and select it by browsing the left hand pane of the programming screen until you find it. Once you locate it you will select it with your mouse by clicking on it. When you select it the details related to this directory number will be shown on the right hand side of the programming screen. You will now see the directory number of the station you have selected and directly below it the display text related to it.

Note: You must use the hardware programming key/dongle (USB or Parallel) to see the directory numbers above physical port 36 in the left hand pane. If you don't have the programming key you will only be able to program and change the directory numbers and features related to the first 36 directory numbers/physical ports of AlphaCom system.

Changing Current Directory Number

Now that you have selected the directory number you wish to change you are now ready to change the current directory number to the directory number you desire for this intercom station. Using your mouse click and highlight the complete directory number in the diretory number box, now you can enter the directory number you wish to program to . Once you have entered the directory number to use AlphaPro will check you if the database has any issues with the new directory number you have chosen I have already created a category called "How to". From AlphaWiki main page, select "All categories". Here you find the "How to" category. To include an article in this category, simply write [[Category: How to]] wherever in the text (I prefer at the very bottom as done in this article).

Create new articles

Simply type in the name of the article you want to create in the search field in AlphaWiki. For example "How to program DAK-keys on master stations". Press "Go". Now you get a message that this page doesn't exist, and a link to create the article. Note that the search string will become the title of the article. Try to choose the title carefully. I suggest that all articles in the "How to" category actually starts with "How to....".

You can start by editing this article. (And delete all I have written here:-). When it comes to adding pictures etc., we can look into that later.

It is very useful to study other articles (select "Edit" to see the code). You can also find a lot of help here: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Contents#For_editors

Let me know if you need any help.
