A virtual dummy station is a station that is configured to play a certain role in an application. It may not be necessary that the station is physically connected. Call queueing is just one example that can be handled by a Virtual Dummy Station.

An example of this is placing Call Requests with a Dummy Station so they can call out to the Public Telephone Network one by one using a SIP Gateway; Elevator alarm to External Phone

Virtual Dummy Stations do not consume an IP Station License.

Virtual Dummy Stations may be extended into IP Dummy Stations or Physical Dummy Stations
