3rd Party SIP phones (Zenitel Connect Pro)

3rd Party SIP phones can be added to the Zenitel Connect Pro (ZCP) system.
Requirements
- ZCP firmware 1.7.0 or newer
- The SIP phone must support:
- SIPS protocols (TLS and SRTP)
- Audio codec G.722
- Video codec H.264 (if video calls are required)
Supported features
Zenitel does not guarantee that all features available in the Zenitel Connect Pro will work with a 3rd Party SIP phone.
Creating a Generic SIP account
In the Zenitel Connect Pro web interface select Devices and Connections -> Configuration, select the icon .
As a minimum enter:
- Directory Number: The extension number of the SIP phone
- Name: Any text
- Device Type: Generic SIP
You also need to read the SIP Account Password as this needs to be configured in the SIP phone.

The Operational Status should change to Operational when the SIP phone is registered.
Testing the SIP account
To test your SIP account you can use e.g. MicroSIP. MicroSIP is a free and open-source softphone application for Windows that allows users to make voice and video calls using the SIP protocol. Here is Download link.
Here is a screenshot of required settings:

Account:
- Account Name: Any descriptive text
- SIP Server: The IP address of the ZCP server and the TLS port number (e.g. 10.9.8.7:5062)
- Username: The directory number as entered in ZCP
- Domain: The IP address of the ZCP server and the TLS port number (e.g. 10.9.8.7:5062)
- Login: The directory number as entered in ZCP
- Password: The SIP Account Password found in ZCP
- Display Name: The Caller ID, shown to the other party in a call.
- Media Encryption: Mandatory SRTP (RTP/SAVP)
- Transport: TLS
- Public Address: Select the network interface of the laptop used for connection to ZCP
Settings:
Make sure that:
- Audio codec G.722 is enabled
- Video codec H.264 is enabled
