When the handset is lifted on a station the system can be programmed to dial a certain number. When the handset is replaced, another number can be dialed. The feature is available on all stations with handset and is programmable per station. The feature can also be used on telephones connected to the ATLB board.

Application examples:

  • Lifting the handset activates an alarm call from a lift. Whether the handset is replaced or not does not matter, the confirmation message and the return call will come through anyway.
  • Lifting the handset activates a Call Request to a service center. The caller is supposed to wait for an answer with the handset off. If the handset is replaced, the Call Request is removed from the queue.
