FCDC-3 - Backwards compatibility

The FCDC-3 is fully compatible with FCDC-1, FCDC-2 (including TFIX stations and Exigo Ex Access Panels) after these devices have been upgraded to software version 4.1.3.13 or newer.

• There is no compatibility if these devices are running version 4.1.3.12 or older.

If you mix software version 4.1.2.12 (or older) and version 4.1.2.13 (or newer) on the same Flowire network, there will be limited compatibility. You can do software upgrade, but regular operations will not work.

One-to-one, star or daisy-chained single-lined Flowire configuration

1. Replacing a FCDC1/2 or EX-stations with old software with FCDC1/2 or same type EX-station with old software: No additional actions needed
2. Replacing one or more of the FCDC1/2 with old software with FCDC3 in a system with FCDC1/2 or EX-stations still in cluster: Update remaining FCDC1/2 and EX-stations with new software.

Update of EX-stations must be done using a FCDC1/2.

2.2.2 Redundant Exigo A-B configuration 1. Replacing a FCDC1/2 or EX-stations with old software with FCDC1/2 or same type EX-station with old software: No additional actions needed 2. Replacing one or more of the FCDC1/2 with old software with FCDC3 in a system with FCDC1/2 or EX-stations still in cluster: Update remaining FCDC1/2 and EX-stations with new software. Update of EX-stations must be done using a FCDC1/2.
