Description

The STENTOFON IP Hotline Station is a splash proof model designed for humid, dirty and outdoor conditions. The station is specifically designed for hotline operation and does not have a microphone and speaker other than in the handset. It can operate in an ambient temperature range from -40°C to +55°C (-40°F to +131°F). The station consists of a flame- and chip-resistant casing of durable plastic. The station’s front plate is made of UV-cured PVC, a material which is resistant to a number of corrosive fluids. The front panel can be removed to allow easy access during installation and service. The glands give water-and dustproof connection of the installation cable.

The station provides high quality conversations, using the STENTOFON superb wideband audio and loud volume. The station achieves an STI of > 0.6 @ 105dBa. The STI value is a measure for understandability of voice communications. Together with the durable design, this makes it the communication station of choice for tunnel and roadside communication.

The station can be connected directly to an IP-network and can be powered using PoE.

To provide maximum availability the station comes with advanced supervision functions. The station line test will detect if there is any faults in the cable or station electronics. The status of the stations is reported to AlphaWeb as well as to 3rd party management systems using SNMP, Syslog or OPC.
