The tone test is designed to check whether the microphone and loudspeaker is working by playing a tone and detecting the sound pressure level. The result of the tone test is reported using SNMP traps, which must be turned on in the SNMP configuration.

Turbine Stations ver. 6.1.3.0 and newer

Tone Test configuration - Turbine station


  • Enabled: This parameter turns on or off the Tone test function
  • Tone Selection: Select one out of eight different tone patterns. Use different tone patterns for stations close to each other.
  • Time between Tone Test: This parameter decides how often the tone test should be repeated. Use 0 to do tone test only on startup.

This feature should only be turned on after the station is mounted in a wall (or elsewhere) and must be redone if the station is moved. The microphone and speaker must be working correctly for an accurate result
