Certificates (Zenitel Connect)

Certificates for HTTPS
Zenitel Connect uses HTTPS to provide encrypted access to the web interface. When a web browser connects to a server, it verifies the server's digital certificate to confirm the server's identity and establish a trusted connection.
If the server presents a self-signed certificate or a certificate that is not trusted by the client computer, the browser will typically display a security warning before allowing access to the site.
By installing a certificate issued by the customer's organization or by a trusted Certificate Authority (CA), Zenitel Connect can be recognized as a trusted web server, eliminating browser warnings and providing a seamless user experience.
Certificates can be managed from System > Certificates in the Zenitel Connect web interface.

Uploading a Certificate
To upload and install a certificate:
- Navigate to System > Certificates.
- In the Certificates and Keys section, drag and drop the certificate file into the upload area.
- Alternatively, select Click to select file and browse to the certificate file.
- Once the certificate has been uploaded, it becomes available for assignment to supported services.
Assigning a Certificate to a Service
After uploading the certificate, use the Services section to select which certificate should be used by each service.
From the Certificate column, select the desired certificate for the applicable service:
- HTTPS (Port 443) - Used to secure access to the Zenitel Connect web interface.
- SIPS (Port 5061) - Used for encrypted SIP signaling between compatible devices and systems.
The selected certificate will be presented by the service during TLS negotiations.
