Cisco Call Manager 11.5 configuration

This article describes how to add a Zenitel Intercom station to Cisco Unified Call Manager 11.5.


Please note that this is the minimum configuration to get a Turbine station successfully registered to a Cisco Call Manager.
Adjust needed parameters to fit your configuration.

Turbine stations does not support VLAN tagging or CPD, so please ensure that the station is connected to an access port!

Configuring Cisco Call Manager

The first step is to add an end user to associate with the Intercom Station, then add the phone hardware and configure extension number.

Add new End User

User Management -> End User -> Add New

SIP Intercom Configuration - Add new End User


User ID The user ID of the station user. This value must be entered under auth name on the Turbine station.
Password User password. _NOT_ the same as SIP auth password.
Digest credentials If digest authentication is enabled in the SIP security profile, this value will be used as SIP password.


Add new Phone

Device -> Phone -> Add New

- Phone Type: Third-Party SIP Device (Basic)

Press Next

Note!
If you are using TCIV and want video functionality (Not officially supported) you must use Third-Party SIP Device (Advanced), as Basic does not allow video.

MAC-Address Intercom station MAC address
Description Optional description (Autocompletes)
Device Pool Your configured device-pool.
Phone Button Template Third-Party SIP Device (Basic)
Calling Search Space Your configured Calling Search Space.
Media Resource Group List Your configured Media Resource Group List
Owner User ID Select the End User we configured in previous step

Device Security Profile Third-Party SIP Device Basic - Standard Non-secure profile*
SIP Profile Standard SIP Profile
Digest User Select the End User we configured in previous step.



Note! 
*This guide uses a security profile without digest authentication. If you want username/password authentication on the Intercom station you must create a secure SIP profile with digest authentication.

- In the upper left corner, press "Line [1] - Add a new DN".

Directory number Enter wanted directory number
Route Partition Your configured Route Partition
Calling Search Space Your configured Calling Search Space

- Press Save - Press Save/Restart

Turbine SIP configuration


Display Name Optional
Directory Number (SIP ID) The configured DN the station is using.
Server Domain IP-address of Cisco Call Manager server
Registration method Preferred registration method. If multiple servers choose serial.
Authentication Username Username of the End user associated with the phone. (Digest user)
Authentication Password Digest password configured on the End User. Note that Digest Authentication on the CUCM must be enabled if using this.
Register Interval How often the Turbine should send SIP register.
