Neighbour Broadcast Mute (Zenitel Connect)

From Zenitel Wiki

Neighbour Broadcast Mute is primarily intended for Live Speech broadcasts where the broadcasting station is located close to one or more receiving stations.

When a device receives a Live Speech Broadcast, selected neighbouring devices can automatically have their loudspeakers muted. This prevents the broadcast audio from being picked up by the microphone of the broadcasting station, thereby reducing the risk of acoustic feedback.

This feature is particularly useful in installations where several intercom stations are located within hearing distance of each other, such as control rooms, industrial facilities, transportation hubs, and marine installations.

Configuration

Navigate to Devices and Connections and select the operator intercom. Open Call Settings, then scroll down to Neighbour Broadcast Mute in the right-hand pane.

From the drop-down list, select the intercom devices that should be muted while this operator intercom is transmitting a live broadcast. Multiple devices can be selected.

The devices Control room (133) and Operator 2 (143) are configured as neighbouring devices and will therefore be muted during live
broadcasts from Operator 1.
Note icon Neighbour Broadcast Mute is only supported on native Zenitel devices. ITSV Video Phones and Generic SIP devices cannot be muted through this mechanism and will continue to reproduce the Broadcast audio normally.
