Feature: Remote setup of Alarm Message
Default directory number: 761
Feature number: 68
Parameter 1: 0 (N/A)
Description: Remotely activate playback of alarm message to another station or group of stations.

Procedure:

  • 761 + group + alarm message
  • 761 + 85 + 8191: Turn on alarm message 8191 to stations in group 85
  • 761 + 85 + 8190: Turn off alarm message to stations in group 85

This feature is by default available for SuperUser only.

Alarm messages can also be triggered from the Event Handler or RCI by using the commands AMS or AMG, or the AlphaCom Data Protocol command $ALRM

By default an alarm message will be repeated endlessly, until switched off. However, it is possible to specify a specific number of repetitions for each alarm message. This must be done from the nvram editor in the TST console.
