This document provides the release notes for AlphaCom 11.5 with incremental bug fix releases. The release notes for AlphaCom 11.5 describe new features, improvements and issues fixed after AlphaCom 11.3.

Software in production: AMC 11.2.3.10
Note: For each software version the NVRAM version is listed. If the NVRAM version is different, the AlphaCom InterCom configuration will get default configuration, and then you must do a SendAll from AlphaPro to restore the configuration.
All AlphaWeb configuration will be kept.

The background syslog cleanup system was not running as intended on the 11.5.3.3 version.

Cleaning of syslog During Coldboot (MTN-979)

All syslog files are now removed when doing a cold boot.

Codec Negotiation with SIP Stations Fails (MTN-979)

For the 11.5.3.3. version the codec negotiation with SIP stations did not follow the AlphaPro configuration.

SNMP Trap not Working (MTN-954)

The SNMP trap system was not working on all 11.5.x.x versions.

Outgoing SIP trunk Ringing Times out after 70 Seconds (MTN-959)

The maximum length of SIP trunk private ringing was hard-coded to a maximum 70 seconds.
Fixed maximum private ringing time is now increased to 3 minutes.
It the private ringing timer in AlphaPro is set to less than 3 minutes, the AlphaPro ringing timer will be used for canceling the private ringing.
Default is 30 seconds.

Enhancements

Support of the "Block Reset" System Developed for AlphaSys 11.3 (MTN-144)

Special feature for inhibiting user generated reset from AlphaPro/AlphaWeb/Tst.

Wake-up support for ATLB telephones

Telephones connected to ATLB cards can now also use the AlphaCom wake-up feature.
Private ringing will be used as wake-up signal.

CRM Notification Tone Flag (MTN-917)

The CRM Notification Tone Flag is now set default ON during autoload.

Recording Interface from AlphaCom - SDP Renegotiation (MTN-895)

SIP session references was changed when the Recorder did re-negotiation of the SDP audio. Result: the recording session terminated. (New Recorder software avoid the recording termination when using 11.5.3.1/2)

Recording of Group Call with Automatic M-key (MTN-896)

The recording of group call with automatic M-key never started.

Silence monitoring of Turbine (MTN-673)

The MTN-533 will make it possible to use silence call option for Turbine. In addition a new ACDP command for silence call is added.

$SC <station>

Using $SC before any other station operation will activate the "silence call" operation for the next feature activated. Silence Call :

  • No call led
  • No display back light
  • No loudspeaker
$SC L101 ; $DD L101 L84  -- Start a group call from 101 without call led, back light or gong feedback. 
$SC L101 ; $CONF_TALK L101 -- L101 talk into a conference without call led and back light

Silent call LED control in Turbine (MTN-533)

Now the LED of turbine is not turned on using the silence call option: $CALL L101 L102 W256 The automatic control of display back light of the INCA station is now also avoided during silence call.

Special Characters in Password not recognized (MTN-898)

For a 11.2 system with special characters in the AlpahWeb password, it was not possible to do login after upgrade to 11.5. Example of failed password: "abc$$$".

Restore Backup after Factory Default (MTN-826)

Now the backup.bin file is not cleaned when doing a cold boot/factory default of the AMC card

Allow ECPIR DAK modules without use of CRMV licens(MTN-907)

Using DAK keys above 20 for ECPIR did previously require a CRMV license.

$GM fails when Message ID is > 9

With the $GM command it was not possible to start announcement messages indexed above 9.

AlphaWeb Routing Configuration Issues (MTN-860)

In 11.5.3.2 one of the corrected files was missing in the apkg installation set.

Not possible to download station CSV list from AlphaWeb (MTN-882)

This issue is due to a missing link in the BSP 31.0.3.x packages. After installing alpha-sys_11_5_3_2/B.apkg, the link will be updated.

Memory usage - System Monitoring

For monitoring system behavior a compact report of free memory and some daemon memory usage is sent to the debug log once a day at approx 11:30.

Error Corrected

The MPC "Q" Command was not Simulating the C-key Correctly (Related to MTN-858)

The MPC Q command did only simulate the C key pres signal, not the release of C-key. In some call situations this could generate timeout and error messages.

Now the Q command behave equal to the $C AlphaNet command.

One Way Audio in Multi Module when Only Eth1 is Used (MTN-830)

It not the Eth0 was physical connected, multi module audio did not connect correctly. Fixed.

AlphaWeb Routing Configuration Issues (MTN-860)

The AlphaWeb Routing Configuration page could in some cases crash due to faulty entries in the configuration file. Fixed

Billing Uses Wrong Fee (MTN-690)

Outgoing AlphaNet Conversation to IP-only node, from Analog station with handset lifted resulted in missing microphone led and audio.

Faulty SysLog Statistics During Inquiry Operation (MTN-745)

There was a faulty "re-open" conversation log during inquiry.

Tight Timing in HAIP Could Cause Unintentional HA Reset

Internal Watchdog update could timeout during high load situation causing the HA system to reset.

SIP Transit Issues (MTN-718, MTN-709)

In a transit SIP call the initiator station will freeze if the remote SIP trunk replies with a 4xx message.
Pressing M or DAK on analog station after dialing prefix to SIP node make station hang.

Multicast Audio Flowire Issue

AlphaCom multicast audio setup and cancel messages are now repeated more often due to possible UDP collisions when multicast used on Flowire.

Ringing Volume Setting Not Used When Receiving Ringing Group Call (MTN-681, MTN-536)

Now allow use of AlphaPro configured ringing volume when receiving ringing group call.

Use of DAK keys programmed with "DAK as RCI" during conference (MTN-698)

When using DAK keys during conference the conference audio was disconnected during DAK key execution.
Now DAK as RCI activation from DAK keys without DAK string will be handled without audio issues.

Issues with Turbine Stations Receiving its Own Audio when Talking into SX Conference

When IP stations speaking into SX conference now the IP station is removed as a listener of the conference.
(INCA default turned off the loudspeaker when speaker of SX conference)

M100. Country Specific Characters Disabled Directory Numbers (MTN-670)

Using German characters inhibited exporting the directory number to the M100d configuration. Fixed

Issue with Recording of Outgoing Conversation to IP Only nodes (MTN-689)

For recording of outgoing ASLT conversation to an "IP only node" there was no audio sent to the recorder.
The system could also reset when M-key was used during recording in the same situation.

New Parameters for Event Handler Function AMS and AMG did Not Work Correctly (MTN-724, MTN-725)

The implementation of configurable "handset volume override" on AMS and AMG introduced with on version 11.2.3.10 did not work correctly.

Choppy Audio in SX Conference (MTN-729)

Long time use of SX conference in combination with Turbine Extended, generated issues with the sound quality.

Applying filters on AMC-IP gives user cryptic fault message (MTN-728)

Same IP sub-net on Eth 0 and Eth 1 causes Issues (MTN-777)

AlphaWeb now inhibit overlapping sub-net range on Eth 0 and 1.

Pin Code on ODC featrue (MTN-783)

Pin code is added by setting a 4 digit number to parameter 2 of the 88-ODC feature.
Users entering the ODC must dial the 4 digit number to enter the conference.

Snatching of IP Resources (MTN-652)

When activating some features with alarm priority and no more IP resources available, the system will now release resources from other lower priority activity.
Features with snatching available:

  • Group Call with alarm priority
  • AMS / AMG with handset volume override (HVO).

All features using IP resources can be the target for snatching by a high priority feature (disconnected)

The event handler log "text" function is now converted to UTF8 coding before sent to SysLog.

Recording On Demand

The $REC function from AlphaSys 11.3 is now supported on 11.2. Issues discovered when using $REC multiple time in one session is fixed (MTN-719).

SIP Trunk Monitoring (MTN-240)

SIP trunk monitoring can be enabled from node flag. Monitor SIP trunk nodes with OPTION - OK signaling, report UP/DOWN as AlphaNet links. Enable monitoring individual for each SIP trunk node. Setting bit 7 (count from 0)

The AlphaSys 11.3 support of IP dummy stations in SX conference in now available.

Support Forcing Codec of SX Conference

ex_profile.prog_conf_profiles[1].flags
Bit 1 = Recording (default on)
Bit 3 = G711a (Telecom level)
Bit 4 = G711u (Telecom level)

If not bit 3 or 5 set, G722 will be used. (Supported in AlphaPro 11.6.3.9)

Added Counters for Event Handler String Usage

For debugging purposes the tst command "evh list all" will print all event strings and show number of times used as last parameter (x). Counters are reset after each time the Event list is printed.
Useful for discovering looping event triggers.

Allow Digit SIP Trunk Signaling for Incoming Call From SIP trunk (MTN-453)

Activated with use of $TRUNK_SIG <station>.
