A Backup of the running configuration on the AMC-IP board can stored on a file in the flash memory. The file, called backup.bin, survives autoload. A backup can be done by:
- dialling 7820 (or 7821) + M-key on a SuperUser station
- from AlphaWeb
Note: A backup.bin file is compatible within the same AMC Database version only, and cannot be used to restore the configuration. When upgrading the AMC software and the AMC Database versions are different, the running configuration will automatically be deleted and factory default settings will be generated. Before continuing you must create a backup of the running configuration by doing a GetAll operation from AlphaPro.
7820 Backup: The running configuration is restored from the backup file (backup.bin) every time the exchange reset. When using this backup option, a master backup (7821) should be made every time the configuration is changed, if not the changes are lost after next reset or power off.
7821 Master Backup: The running configuration is restored from the backup file (backup.bin) every time the exchange reset. When using this backup option, a master backup (7821) should be made every time the configuration is changed, if not the changes are lost after next reset or power off.
