Distribution of Voice Alarm
A Remote Control Input (RCI) can be programmed so that an alarm voice message is automatically distributed to all stations or a group of when a contact closure is received (for example from a Fire Alarm Panel).
The feature includes volume and handset override for all InterGuard stations. This means that the evacuation message is distributed at maximum volume through all such stations. The evacuation message can be one of the default alarm messages or a customized message stored on the ASVP-board. It is also possible to use an external audio source for this purpose.
The activation of the alarm message can also be done manually from a station.
The possibility to set up such an alarm call must be restricted to certain stations only. This can be done in several ways:
- Class of service programming
- Group Access Level
- Event Handler programming
Alarm Message Overview
Three alarm messages are available on the ASVP-board. The messages are typically used in evacuation situations where you want to distribute the alarm message to a group of stations.
Message no | Message |
8191 | Fire alarm. Please stay calm and leave the building through the nearest exit. All exits are marked with green light. Don’t stop, but proceed completely out of the building. Wait for further information outside. |
8192 | The situation is now under control. The building can again be used. We are sorry for the inconvenience. |
8193 | An unexpected situation has occurred. Please stay calm and leave the building through the nearest exit. All exits are marked with green light. Don’t stop, but proceed completely out of the building. Wait for further information outside. |
Customizing Voice Messages
It is possible to customize your own voice messages for the ASVP-board using the AlphaVoC tool.
With the Black AMC v.11 board there is no longer a need for the ASVP board. Using the inbuilt AlphaWeb it is possible to upload your own customized messages. The number of messages and the storage space is limitied by a license.
Requirements
The sound files must be in wav format:
- 16 bit samplerate
- 16 Khz
- Mono
