Simplex Conferences (AlphaPro)

From the Simplex Conferences menu you can modify the properties of the Simplex Conferences. See also Main article: Simplex Conference
- Conference Number: The Simplex Confernce ID number, 1-50
- Description: The text you enter here is displayed in the listbox to the left. Note that this text is not transferred to the AlphaCom server, but is stored locally on the PC only.
- Default Member: This user will be forced into the conference as long as there is one or more other users in the conference
- Default Member is Default Speaker
- Disabled (default): Noone is feeding audio into the conference by default
- Enabled: As long as nobody else is talking into the conference (i.e. pressing the M-key), the "Default Member" will be feeding audio into the conference
- Minimum Talk Priority: Four levels are available:
- Low (default)
- Medium
- High
- Alarm
Each station has a Talk Priority which must be higher than this setting (else the station can only listen to the conference).
- Conference over Conversation/AlphaNet Setup Priority:
- ON: Alarm priority: The conference seizes any necessary resources during setup in an AlphaNet installation. The conference remains on during ordinary conversations
- OFF: Description Missing
- AlphaNet Global Conference
- ON: The conference is a global conference. All exchanges to be involved in the same global conference and any transit nodes must have the same setting for the conference
- OFF: Local conference in this exchange (even if nodes in same AlphaNet uses it as a global conference)
