The new master flash-backup feature can be used in safety-critical applications. A master flash backup is made by dialling 7821 on the Super User. The NVRAM is restored from the Master FLASH every time the exchange reset. If you use this backup option, do remember to make a backup to Master FLASH every time you change the configuration of the system.

Feature: Store backup of running configuration to an on-board file
Default directory number: 7820, 7821
Feature number: 41
Parameter 1: 0 = Backup (7820)

2 = Master Backup (7821)

Description: Creates a backup of the running configuration to an on-board file, backup.bin. The file is stored in the flash memory, and survives autoload.
Procedure: From a SuperUser station, dial 7820 (or 7821) then acknowledge with M-key.

Note: This backup is compatible within the same AMC Database version only.
