AMC-IP software upgrade (Black AMC-IP board)

This article describes how to upgrade the software in an AlphaCom XE server, running a black AMC-IP board (hardware revision 5 or later).
The black AMC-IP board replaced the red AMC-IP board (hardware revision 4) in 2010.
Backup customer data
The AlphaPro configuration data might get lost after the upgrade. The configuration data MUST be backed up by doing a GetAll operation from AlphaPro before the upgrade is performed.
The IP settings (settings done from the web interface, such as IP address and Filters) are kept after the update.

Software Upgrade
- Download the Board Support Package bsp_32.4.3.12.apkg
- Download the AMC firmware alpha-sys_13.2.3.16.apkg
- Install the BSP package first:
- Log in to the AlphaCom XE Web interface and select System Maintenance > System Upgrade.
- Browse to the downloaded bsp_32.4.3.12.apkg file, and select Upload.
- When the upload is finished an Install button will appear. Press this button to start the upgrade. The upgrade status is shown in the web browser.
- When the installation is finished, the AlphaCom XE server will restart
- Next step is to install the AMC firmware:
- When the AlphaCom XE is up and running again, log in to the AlphaCom XE Web interface and select System Maintenance > System Upgrade.
- Browse to the downloaded alpha-sys_13.2.3.16.apkg file, and select Upload.
- When the upload is finished an Install button will appear. Press this button to start the upgrade. The upgrade status is shown in the web browser.
- When the installation is finished, the AlphaCom XE server will restart with the new software.
Restore customer data
Restore the customer data by doing a SendAll operation from AlphaPro. Restart the AlphaCom XE server after the SendAll is finished.
