Button Test (Zenitel Connect Pro)

The Vandal Resistant intercom - VR3G-1P features a Self Testing Call Button.
The Piezo button of the VR3G-1P has internal circuitry that will physically activate the call button as if someone has pressed it. This allows for full testing of the stations operating when used in conjunction with the Tone Test feature.
The Button Test can be started in multiple ways:
- From the Zenitel Connect Pro web interface
- Via automation from Node-Red
- From 3rd Party Applications
- From Zenitel Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM)
Button Test - triggered from ZCP web interface
Navigate to System > System Information and select Devices. Select the device to test.
- Press Button Test to start the test.
- The result of the Button Test is presented in the Device Status pane.

A failing button test will also be shown in the Operational Status of the device with a warning sign:
Operational.
If you hover over the "Operational Status" column it will show more details.
Running a new successful test, will bring back the full
Operational status.
Button Test - triggered from Node-RED
- The Zenitel Action node Zenitel Button Test can be used to start the button test on an individual device or on a group of devices.
- The Zenitel Event node Zenitel Extended State can be used to read the result of the Button Test.
Logging of Button Test results
Button Test results are reported to the the System Log.
3rd Party Applications
By means of the Zenitel Link a 3rd party system can use a WAMP message to start the Button Test and a WAMP subscription to receive the result.
- The URI to start the tone test is: com.zenitel.system.devices.test.button.post
- And the URI for the subscription to receive the results is: com.zenitel.system.device.extended_status
