Device Status (Zenitel Connect Pro)

The Operational Status of a device in Zenitel Connect Pro is used to indicate if a device is operational or not, i.e. if the device is able to make and receive calls.

The status is displayed in three different locations in the Zenitel Connect Pro web interface:

A device can have one out of three main states:

  • Operational: The device is online and can make and receive calls
  • Operational: The device is online and can make andreceive calls, but there are issues that might affect the operation
  • Not Operational: The device is offline and not functional

For a device to be considered Operational the following criteria must be met:

  • Device Status: Must be Configured (N/A for Generic SIP and WebRTC devices)
  • WAMP Status: Must be Online (N/A for ITSV, Generic SIP and WebRTC devices)
  • SIP Status: Must be Online

The device status is Operational if the device can make and receive calls, but still there are issues that might need attention.

  • Device Status: See list below
  • WAMP Status: Must be Online (N/A for ITSV, Generic SIP and WebRTC devices)
  • SIP Status: Must be Online


Possible Device Status values:

  • Configured: The device configuration is up to date
  • Unconfigured: Configuration changes are made, but not yet transferred to the device.
  • Unpaired: The device has not yet received its initial configuration.

In addition the Device Status will display information about Tone Test failure, Button Test failure and Broadcast failure.


Not Operational

Hover over the "Operational Status" column to see more details.

The device is considered Not Operational if the device is not functional. This is the case if either WAMP Status and/or SIP Status is Offline.

Possible Device Status values:

  • Offline
  • Unregistered
  • Unpaired
  • N/A (Generic SIP and WebRTC devices)

Additional information

  • WAMP: Is a communication protocol used between the Zenitel Connect Pro and the Zenitel native devices.
  • SIP: IS the signaling protocol used for initiating, maintaining, and terminating communication sessions between the Zenitel Connect Pro and the Zenitel native devices, as well as the ITSV video phone and 3rd-party SIP phones.
