Changing a node IP Address within the File Transfer Tool
From Zenitel Wiki
Make sure to change device IP information in the System Configuration beforehand so it is ready to load onto the devices with their updated IP Addresses.
- Go to the "Network Settings" tab in the File Transfer Tool and select the target device, or devices, whose IP address you wish to change (You will need to enter the old address with the Manual option, as you have updated the System Configuration).
Selecting a Target Device whose IP Address is changing
- Once you have selected the Target Device, click "Show Current Settings"
- You will notice the devices current network parameters outlined underneath "Current Status"
- The target window will also show the connection status of the device, by displaying the device name and firmware and bootloader version.
Show Current Settings output
- Click Choose New Settings, then use the drop-down to select the device with its updated IP address. Avoid the manual option as selecting from the drop-down pulls the address straight from the System Configuration and removes any risk of typing it incorrectly. Click Okay and the IP Address change will proceed.
Changing IP Address
- You should see a "Network settings update successful: Settings updated" in the target window if the IP Address has been changed successfully.
Changing IP Address
- Once the IP addresses have been changed, Write the System Configuration to the devices without delay. The System Configuration must be written to the devices immediately after the address change is complete, otherwise a configuration mismatch fault will appear.
