This document provides the release notes for VSF-Turbine 9.0 with incremental bug fix releases. The release notes describe new features, improvements and issues fixed after VSF-Turbine 8.2.3.3.

VSF-Turbine (vsft) is a firmware archive for Zenitel devices based on the IMX28 processor.

Description: VSF-Turbine is a firmware archive for Zenitel devices based on the IMX28 processor.

The firmware is delivered in two different ZIP archives and one swu file:

  • vsft-9.1.x.x - Used for standard in-field upgrades
  • vsft-prod-9.1.x.x - Used in production- and recovery upgrades

Fixed issues

MTN-4703 ENA Network Amplifiers: Volume adjustment using SIP Header fails on Channel 2

The gain change on channel 2 was correctly applied from SIP header, but not reset back to config value on Call End. Now gain value is correctly reverted to config speaker gain on Call End.

MTN-4675 Using a Direct Access Key (DAK) to switch between headset/loudspeaking mode did not work properly

Using a DAK to switch between headset/loudspeaking mode now works as intended. Useful on TFIE-2 and TFIE-6 stations that don’t have a dedicated Toggle button for this. Which DAK to use is configured under “Keyboard Settings” in the station web interface.

Improvements

DS-1075 Unable to configure long domain names for SIP servers

Previously users could only enter domain names up to 64 characters. Now supports domain names up to 253 characters long. On upgrade, all devices can handle longer domain names.

Fixed Issues

DS-1344 The device input 6 is now operating correctly.

Input 6 was not working after upgrading to 9.1.3.0. This is now fixed.


Known Issues

MTN-4049 IP Heavy Duty Telephone shows speaker volume setting when in Edge Controller mode

IP Heavy Duty Telephones do not have a speaker, this has been disabled in the device model. The setting option in Edge Controller mode does not do anything and should be ignored

MTN-3299 TLS Private Keys not restored on Turbine stations

In case that TLS Private Keys are deleted from Turbine station, the only way to restore them is to manually upload them to the station. Factory reset or station upgrade will not restore TLS Private Keys.

Improvements

DS-1152 Added a configuration option in "Call Settings" i the device web for not encode the “#” as “%23” in sip invite URIs

DS-958 New option added to factory reset the device with keeping IP settings

With the new option under Main Settings page, it is now possible to factory reset the device with keeping IP, firewall and 802.1X settings.



Fixed Issues

MTN-4650 Fixed issue where Enable multicast paging state is lost on upgrade

When upgrading to 9.1.3.0, Enable multicast paging flag will be correctly configured as it was on previous version, which was not the case for version 9.0.3.3.

MTN-4598 Fixed issue where device is rebooting without prompt after upload or deletion of HTTPS certificate

The user is now prompted to reboot the device after HTTPS certificate is uploaded or deleted.

MTN-4597 Fixed issue where delete button is not disappearing after deleting HTTPS certificate

Delete button is now hidden when the user uploaded HTTPS certificate is deleted.

MTN-4589 Special use case for amplifier ENA2060 sometimes SIP media is played instead of analogue line-in to line-out

Various code optimization and forced routing to ensure that analogue path is setup correct for each call case.

DS-1317 The GPO event will now get published with correct GPIO pin.


Known Issues
