This document provides the release notes for VSFF8MP version 10.0 with incremental bug fix releases. The release notes describe new features, improvements and issues fixed after vsff8mp version 9.4.3.1.

Note icon Compatibility:
  • Version 10.0.x.x is supported exclusively on the Zenitel Connect Pro platform.
  • It is not compatible with ICX-AlphaCom, IC-Edge, or deployments operating in SIP mode.


Note icon Software Upgrade:
  • The IMT tool (Intercom Management Tool) is not compatible with device version 10. Software upgrade to version 10 must be done either from the Zenitel Connect Pro server web interface or from the web interface of the device it self.

Description: vsff8mp is a firmware for devices in the Zenitel Display Series.

The firmware is delivered in two different files:

  • vsff8mp-10.0.3.x - Used for standard in-field upgrades
  • vsff8mp-prod-10.0.3.x - Used in production- and recovery upgrades.

Security Updates

DS-1720 Disabled SNMP port by default in firewall

The SNMP port is now disabled by default in the firewall on all new and factory-reset devices. Customers who require SNMP must enable it manually in the device configuration before use.

  • CVE-2025-15467 Stack buffer overflow

Action: Upgrade to 9.5.3.0 or later

DS-321 New Secure Web Stack Support for Zenitel Connect Systems

Support added for new modern and security-hardened web interface to improve cybersecurity compliance. The new interface is served over HTTPS by default.

Important Downgrade Notice: When downgrading from the version 10.x.x.x (or newer) to version 9.x.x.x (or older), the HTTP port must be open prior to downgrade. After downgrading, manually refresh the browser to access the old web interface via HTTP. If the HTTP port was not opened beforehand, a physical factory reset is required to restore device functionality.
